THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Do a little clearance work and run the front axle with 50* of steering. :rtm:
Ha, I highly doubt that would work well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damn, those are cool. Sorta defeats the purpose of building an axle on the cheap though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

 Here we go again...

Hahaha yep.hasta

I liked the traction of having the rear locked full time, but I definitely felt that it held back turning radius big time.

river, cry me it.

any locked axle will lower turning radius.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just sent a PM to ecgs on PBB. Asking for a quote on:

D60 master install kit
D70 master install kit
D70 5.13 R&P
D60 5.13 rev rot R&P
D70 Detroit (4.56+)
D60 Spool (4.56+)

You are going to spool the front and rear with flanges?

Hello straight line.

Um, you edited my post....

Your front axle has a lock right, so whenever you're on the gas, it's locked. You have a rear spool. You go in just as straight of a line and seem to be managing quite alright. Right?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

exactly... any autolocker is a spool when you're on the gas.
And a spool is a spool when you're not on the gas.

If I do a front dig with that setup the detroit in the back will ratchet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm going to build a tricycle jeep with 0 caster and air suspension so I can stop hearing all this nonsense about turning radius and front vs rear lockers

I thought I saw a sniper edit so I changed what I quoted, not your post. I didn't edit your post. They don't match what I quoted. Oh well, I guess my eyesight it bad. :D

Either way two spools does not equal lockright + spool on the gas or not.

I only have issues in tight areas or on pavement, but if I had the option I'd have done a selectable in the rear.

ah cutting brakes in your plans.

then go forth danielson.

i'll eventually be selectable f/r.. but i'll stay with the lock right rear, ox front for a while.

You're right, I didn't mean to say that you edited my post. I forgot you could do that. I meant to say that you edited what you quoted...

Now I'm confused... retyping what you said in Engrish reads: two spools = a lockright + spool on the gas or not.

Did you mean that 2 spools will behave differently than a spool and a lockright? (I'd like to substitute spool + Detroit). If so, I agree. That's why I want something to ratchet.

If I were spending $$ on a selectable, I'd get it for the D70. No question about it. But I don't think I'm going to do that just yet, if ever.

Yeah we aren't all made of $, unfortunately. Many of us would be missing body parts, if we were.

I wonder what I'd sell first...
