Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

thats not even somethign to think about.. detroit.
[vaginal pain]but what about my turning radius?[/vaginal pain]

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Please. Please don't let that be your bad pun of the day.
if it was, it was entirely unintentional.

I thought you were getting at the chex being square and therefore not cool. I died a little bit inside.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Goddamn dude just run whatever you can afford.

Can't afford an ARB? Get a spool

Can't afford a spool? Weld it.

Problem solved.
Don't want to fork over $ for the ARB
Can't weld it, they don't make 5.13T's.

Looks like it's Detroit.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wasn't, but I considered punnifying that when you said that better not be my pun for the day. This is awesome, I don't even have to make the puns anymore, I just say things that make you guys wonder if that's my pun for the day and then come up with it yourselves.

I'd go with welded or the cheapest... if you really want turning radius, aren't you twin sticking that 300? I don't see a reason for an ultra expensive locker or a fairly expensive spool.

Yeah yeah...

Twin sticking, yes. But having both rear tires want to go straight won't help it even if they're disengaged from the rest of the driveline.

You could run 4.56T gears.
I could do that front and rear. That would let me reuse both carriers. I could weld the rear and throw a Spartan in the front.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also, just an FYI, get a quote on them from ECGS via PBB.

My ARB comes to $850 without a phone call yet.
will do

edit: mayhaps I'll post that now.

^This. Thats how Im pinching pennies and getting cheap traction.

4.56's would probably be perfect with your doubler. IIRC thats what Chris has in his with his doubler and junk.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

 Here we go again...
seriously...

HEY GUYS what do you think of the iron rock LA kit?

</distraction>

I succeeded in doing exactly 1 front dig with an NP231 last time I went wheeling, had my bald ass MT spare on the rear axle and as such had absolutely zero traction in the back. So I did a front dig when I gave it some gas while turning. Who said you can't do front digs with 231s?

Hahaha yep.hasta

I liked the traction of having the rear locked full time, but I definitely felt that it held back turning radius big time.

We'll see. That's definitely the cheapest solution.

4.56's would work just fine, yes.
