THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You fix things? I thought you just completely disregard everything and drive all them anyway.

This is coming from someone who rarely fixes pretty significant problems.
I do that, but they're actually all in pretty decent condition right now... all things considered.

Once I get the 5ton moved back to Mass I'll be more in a mood to fix shit because I am parking it in my back yard such that its bed will form a small but serviceable work area.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You'd need to source a transmission / t-case.

and 1 tons, I honestly cannot afford a 440, even if it was given to me for free. The gas i'd spend, breakage i'd have to deal with, and other parts i'd need to buy, but holy XXXX I would do it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My main concern would be upgrading the fuel cell I plan on buying for the MJ.

15 gal would go pretty quick at 6-7k rpms in a 440.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think i will make a hexagon cage for it too. because everyone knows hexagon is the best for everything

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have so much shit left to do and buy before that can even be a thought.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh relax you even admitted it

:kissyou:

No idea.

I'd go selectable at that price. You can even get 37-spline ARBs.

:D
I know I admitted it, that's why I didn't argue the point :bawl:

That's sort of what I was thinking but I doubt 37 spline axles would be worthwhile. The ones it came with are 35 spline and don't neck down at all, should be good for a bit. Hmm... So what do I want?

Spool: $500
ARB: $910
Detroit: $426
LockRight: $398

I can get 5.13 thick cut gears to keep my carrier and get a lock rite for near $400 or I could get thin cut 5.13's and get a Detroit for near $400... I know I want the selectable in the rear, but I'm not seeing any cheap options other than welded rear with 5.13T's.

edit: hmm, maybe I can't get 5.13T's... I swear I saw it.

this is why crispy hexagon cereal > chex, they are hexagonal instead of square.

Whatever...

Why the hell is a D60 spool $155 and a D70 spool $500?
I'd bet a lot more people run 60s than 70s, bigger market = more competition and more sales volume so the margins are lower.

Please. Please don't let that be your bad pun of the day.

Good ol' supply and demand.
