Screw you guys. I get cold outside so I use the heat so I'm warm. I also hate welding in the wind/rain so I like my shelter. I must be super gay but it don't matter to me.

I think our trip ended up being something like 275ish miles. The last like 15 miles were the worse, it was the main road that the tracked vans used too and was choppy as hell.

when I have a mind to, I get stuff done in a hurry, damn the weather, damn the police, damn the neighbors and damn "doing it right" it will happen. Other times I let something sit for a long ass time while waiting to do it absolutely perfectly.

You fix things? I thought you just completely disregard everything and drive all them anyway.

This is coming from someone who rarely fixes pretty significant problems.

Either way, Sam is going to get tired of thinking about the J10. I'm going to borrow a tow truck and tow it home. Take $20 worth of parts off it. Escort it to the scrap yard and watch a GIANT forklift thingy pierce through it and flop it on top of a bunch of other crappy cars. Go back, put the parts on my Honcho and drive it on rocks.

its a 4 speed standard chevy tranny. i believe its out of an older fullsize blazer.

Sounds like the sm465, keep that, especially if you plan on keeping. In all honest a chevy engine is a much better choice than going with amc. It's a granny gear type tranny.
