THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was just planning on re-using my existing bolts. Where does the reinforcement ring go though? Thats tempting. I have had the tranny out of the XJ more times than I can count, but don't remember there being a reinforcement ring (at least not a factory one).

Mine had some sort of shim ordeal. Not sure if it's a reinforcement ring.

It sits between the crank and the flexplate IIRC.

it's just a silly ring that goes over the flexplate and under the bolt heads. I have a couple of those too, you probably didn't even notice it.

EDIT: verified, in the parts catalog it shows it (figure 9B-410 of the 94-96) as going over the flexplate and under the bolts.

don't think I have a spare one right now... there might be one on the 99 AW4 sitting in my kitchen, not sure. I'll check.

Darn it Anthony, you gave him an excuse not to answer Chris or myself. :D

No worries. I have it perma-jumped anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well i had a wonderful ford pickup that decided it wanted all my time and money
I think Johnny has one like that in his driveway atm, it has a ford transmission that's for sure.

I want to get out of the damn office already so I can get useful things done.

Ah, OK. I probably don't need it, but if I find its not in good shape when I get it apart I may be looking for one.

Rob... Thanks for the offer. If I find I need the reinforcement ring I'll drop you a line and hit you up for yours and the ARP bolts too. I won't know until I get it apart though, and that is gonna be another month (probably).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you're gonna get that thread closed if you aren't careful :moon:

I posted something about that before I even read this ^. It had to be done. At least he's responding to us.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

go to download.com

get ccleaner. run it.
What does that do?

fdisk

:D

Seriously, the drive might not be formatted as one continuous partition. If you go through fdisk, there may be non-partitioned space on the drive that you can use to create another drive letter. Or a partition to set up a Linux installation.

Ummm... Huh?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

fdisk is a utility, not a piece of hardware. it'll show you what pieces of the drive are what. You can tell a drive to split itself into 2 or more partitions and format each partition differently when installing an OS - say if you wanted to run a dual boot setup with linux. I have 3 on my desktop and laptop. Windows, linux, and a separate partition they can both read and write to (FAT32).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha, funny thing just happened. I checked the balance of the checking account that I write my rent checks from... It's $1337. Awesome.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you're not elite enough to understand, I guess.
