THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, weekend projects?
What's the plans?
Saturday: maybe hit the yard for a few things I still need, meet Billy and buy a winch, fix jeeps, probably improve my blown-in insulation removal system and suck a whole bunch of shitty old insulation out of the roof and walls of my house.
Sunday: continue anything not done Saturday

you come to nh to do elec work
I might be down for this at some point, not sure when. Fortunately I have a 98 FSM and I know where my DMM is right now.

No comment on the first part, it wasn't meant to start an argument.

His setup is crap all over, are you serious?

Non-boxed 1/4" LCA mounts, non-reinforced belly pan, and non boxed UCA mount.
I'll take non-boxed LCA mounts with 2 gussets (per side of mount) over boxed LCA mounts any day. At least in my mind, it means the mount is attached to a much wider area on the axle tube which should result in a lot more side to side strength.

As for the non reinforced belly pan + crossmember and UCA mount I agree. I also am not comfortable with the size of hiems used but I'm clearly not the only one there.

Putting a new kitchen faucet in Saturday, wheeling Sunday... WOOHOO!!! I'll be in the MJ... It should be fun with all the snow we have. XJ flywheel is still broken... and its parked in at the moment by the Camaro. With the rate of snow we're getting, fixing the XJ might be a spring project (or I may have to put a garage door on the OTHER side of my garage...hmmm).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh, and my latest retarded idea: 2.5L, AX5, 231, old d35 out of my MJ once I remove it, old d30 out of one of my heeps when I get around to removing it, a whole bunch of poop pipe, and some motorcycle springs / shocks.

Not as a serious wheeling vehicle, just a practice welding project that would be fun to drive around the yard / in the woods. I'll have around 50 bucks into the drivetrain and I can get the motorcycle springs/shocks for free from a friend, so I think it can't really be anything but fun. Poop pipe is the only real cost.

if your buying a new driveplate just get one for a OBD2 jeep, same thing but $30 cheaper

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just check. My Saturday is booked, but I have Sunday morning. We'll chat later.

No big deal just let me know

Depends on where the gusset is. If it's near the bolt hole, then sure. If it's further back, then no thanks.

I hope that faucet does not take you all day unless it involves everything around it.
Wheeling? Jealous.
As long as it doesn't end up being a project on the trailer Wednesday night before a certain event, you are good. :D

Is that the same as a flywheel? (the big round thing with the teeth and holes in it for the CPS... mounts on the crank between the motor and torque converter...)

I already have another one... Rich (ROck2pus) had an extra and hooked me up.

Definitely. When I gusseted the mounts on the d30 I put in my 96, I just put the 21mm impact socket on and tacked the gussets down just past it.

Manual transmission = flywheel

Automatic = drive/flex plate

That's how I use the words.

Faucet is original to house.... from 1977. I am going in with guns-a-blazin, I figure it will take me a few hours, assuming 1 trip to Lowes... so I tell my wife "a day".... that way if I get it done sooner, I am a hero.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
