I was just planning on re-using my existing bolts. Where does the reinforcement ring go though? Thats tempting. I have had the tranny out of the XJ more times than I can count, but don't remember there being a reinforcement ring (at least not a factory one).
it's just a silly ring that goes over the flexplate and under the bolt heads. I have a couple of those too, you probably didn't even notice it.I was just planning on re-using my existing bolts. don't think I have a spare one right now... there might be one on the 99 AW4 sitting in my kitchen, not sure. I'll check.97+ NSS?

Darn it Anthony, you gave him an excuse not to answer Chris or myself.![]()
I think Johnny has one like that in his driveway atm, it has a ford transmission that's for sure.well i had a wonderful ford pickup that decided it wanted all my time and money
Mine had some sort of shim ordeal. Not sure if it's a reinforcement ring.
It sits between the crank and the flexplate IIRC.

EDIT: verified, in the parts catalog it shows it (figure 9B-410 of the 94-96) as going over the flexplate and under the bolts.
you're gonna get that thread closed if you aren't careful :moon:
'cause it's 100% pure US grade A beef.I can't wait.
If the hex stock is weaker than friggin steering components...how do you argue that?
I posted something about that before I even read this ^. It had to be done. At least he's responding to us.at some point the OP in that thread is gonna come back and be like "WTF"
What does that do?go to download.com
get ccleaner. run it.
fdisk
Seriously, the drive might not be formatted as one continuous partition. If you go through fdisk, there may be non-partitioned space on the drive that you can use to create another drive letter. Or a partition to set up a Linux installation.
