Oh yeah, any of you New England guys have a NP242 taking up excess space? I'd kinda like to get power to the front axle in my 5.9 ZJ again, sans viscous coupler...
Guessing here, but he removed the outer doorskins?
I'd love to see him out driving it like that.
It will when it's done but it still needs a lot of tuning and the amp for the sub needs to be rebuilt. It's giving a crappy signal and I've definitely isolated it to that. I'm heading to the store to send it out to JL tonight. $120 flat rate and it comes back with a 90 day warranty. That sound system better give eargasms.
The work doesn't look too bad other than the door skins (why the hell did you have to do that??)
Care to share how much you have into it? Probably better you didn't so we don't start saying you'll REALLY never be done with your XJ![]()
I did my XJ and that wasn't too too bad, but still sucked. I can't imagine doing it any other way with this car.OK, I am jealous of a VW. This is a problem.
I've fed wires into doors a couple times and it is a pain in the ass, but can be done without pulling the skin usually (obviously depends on the car.) Did a Nissan back in high school and all it took was skinny arms. From the look of it, yours would have been possible but hellish, especially since you kept the stock connector and bored it out instead of putting the wires through a separate hole into the flex duct.
Yeah that'd be beating a dead horse again.Yeah I would never do that, but I won't get into that debate with you.
Work came out sweet, Scotty is apparently the person to go to for help with that stuff.
