THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Scotty kept trying to come up with a reason for me to have to weld to the car haha. I refused. He just wanted to see me weld on something that absolutely didn't need it and was expensive :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yep, and they're on his rig.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ugh don't remind me.

Aside from ~$850 on knuckles/arms and ~$250 for PSC to rebuild my steering box like Chris', I shouldnt have to spend too much more I hope. Lines, a cooler, and a ram will probably add another couple of hundred though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh yeah, any of you New England guys have a NP242 taking up excess space? I'd kinda like to get power to the front axle in my 5.9 ZJ again, sans viscous coupler...

Got one here on the island

What's the point in buying the knuckles/arms if you're running crossover like Chris?

Or do you plan on full high steer?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wouldn't mind adding hydraulikz to my steerinz

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

... mine came to $1400 shipped. :D
Ouch.

Ouch again. I'm glad I made/built mine now.

It's nice, but yours steers pretty good now doesn't it?
I wouldn't even bother if I was you. You're going to have about 2" of ram travel before your tires decide to eat you inner fenders.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wouldn't bother either, but that's because there's nofawkingway I could see that a hi-steer tierod would clear the pitman arm at anything close to full bump.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You seem to forget that Ross likes sky high lifts.

He had 8" on 35s.

Even at near ride height it's a disaster.

The drag link is mounted on top of the passenger high steer arm. Tie rod would have to go directly below it, and the problem becomes obvious pretty quickly.

If you use a flat pitman arm it might work, but then I'd wind up with a steeper trackbar angle too, which I didn't want.

You just reach that point where you say FIRI, ya know?
