I would much rather be freezing my ass off on my roof.

i'll entertain driving my XJ... just wanna have all the stiffeners welded on and the rockers cut out and replaced with box steel. prob would weld the rear up too. 31s would suck to wheel on any of the harder trails but we'd be able to drive around 95% of moab and the surrounding trails.
On the topic of last night's discussion about air shocks/coil overs in the rear - I'm glad I cut all that crap off.
Lemme know, maybe I can stand in if you can't.
My 2.5" coilovers in the rear do not work without notching the frame.
The tire rubbed on the shock with that setup.
No, you're right. My tire is firmly into the coilover at this point.

I really need to move the top mounts in a few inches.

But to do that, I gotta notch the frame, and where I need to notch the frame is where the airbumps currently mount, so that's like a gigantic friggin project.
I think this has to do more with how a linked rear moves laterally compared to a leaf spring rear. Namely, the leaf springs don't let the shock mount move over that much.
Yeah yeah yeah....Good, now hurry up and put stuff back in it's place.

that video site managed to not play any video and then nearly crashed my browser.
I would give you shit about taking on too many projects but then I would be a hypocrite :roflmao:
Yep. I want a short break from the Jeep. It's been a long time since I've done something like this or worked with wood. I'm really looking forward to the temporary change of pace. I know I haven't gotten all that far with mine to 'take a break' but oh well. I'm doing it anyway. So you're taking on ANOTHER project?
And now we have to deal with videos of anvils...yay.
Oh come on, it's an anvil getting shot into the air with black powder. If you think that's dumb I'm revoking your man-card.
