I'd say if thats what it takes but you might hold me to it.Thanks for volunteering to help me tow a new shell home :kissyou:
The crossmember and front unibody stuff is all good. Granted, I could cut that all off and transplant it.
It will be a non issue in the long run, but it's a PITA right now. It's nothing that will effect the driveability of it.
Those aren't any jelly donut, those are raspberry creme. You posted my 2nd favorite.I love me some jelly donut, but this is better:

Well, my chili turned out friggin fantastic. Definitely the best batch I've ever made...and it may have taken over as the best recipe among the guys I wheel with regularly. Everyone was very impressed.
I found out my power inverter is good enough to handle the slow cooker on high, so I had it cooking away on the center console of my Dodge as I was driving down to the party.
I honestly don't know what I'd change for the next one. I'll probably do the same thing again and keep better track of the spices etc. Might cook some to bring into work on Thursday.

So no sealed in cab right? You'll have pretty much nothing left so I'd hack it all the way to the firewall or start from scratch. Working with constraints like the body to me is only "fun" if it is going to be worthwhile in the end for reasons like still sorta looking like a Jeep product or enclosed.
Really? Hmmm... now I have to do this. I'm gonna stop at the store on the way home and pick everything up. It won't be tonight though. Tonight is venison night. You know what the secret ingredient is???
--Dark chocolate--
Yes, it is. It gives chili that back-of-the-throat richness that really wakes up the spices. Make chili just like you normally would (don't change a thing in spices), and add the chocolate bar. You have to experiment a bit to find out just how much, but typically my wife puts in a whole large candy bar of the "Special Dark" when she is making 2 gallons of chili.
Trust me, just try it...
A.
I knew that, I'm just hungry.Dummies...
Don't even need to start over, just be honest with yourself and your end goals and rid of the rest of the body because if you cut out the floor and the unirails as you mentioned you really have nothing other than a roof, 1/2 a B pillar, and a windshield frame.x1000.
I wouldn't have started with a shell of any vehicle if I was cutting as much off as you are.
I seriously think you need to start over. Cutting off a crossmember is no big deal, and consider the two plates you added up front a loss.
Balls, we have a nice little snow storm going on, and of course I can't drive green Jeep. Its also freezing in my garage.
None taken.I just don't get the whole hacking up of an XJ (no offense Bill).
Nobody gets into this sport for the body work.

Why do ya'll want snow on the roads? I want snow in my backyard and on the trails. I couldn't care less if it missed all the roads it just means my truck stays cleaner and I don't have to put up with people forgetting how to drive.
you know what you haven't said a lot in this thread recently?I know I've said it a bunch in this thread, but....VENISON CHILI!!!!
I've only got a little and I'd rather not waste it in a chili. I want the flavor. If I had a bunch I'd be making some.I know I've said it a bunch in this thread, but....VENISON CHILI!!!!
Speaking of your CTD, I'm sure your headlights are nice for you and they looked good when I saw them standing outside, but HOLY MOTHER OF GOD do they suck when you are driving behind me.Maybe I'll get to use my super cool new factory tow hooks on my CTD pulling someone out.
Oh please don't get him started.you know what you haven't said a lot in this thread recently?
