Speaking of your CTD, I'm sure your headlights are nice for you and they looked good when I saw them standing outside, but HOLY MOTHER OF GOD do they suck when you are driving behind me.

Hmmm... may have to work on that. Remind me when it gets closer.

Actually, Rich's chili was perfect at Rocktober-Fest. Nothing is better on a cold night than a hot bowl of spicey chili.

So no sealed in cab right? You'll have pretty much nothing left so I'd hack it all the way to the firewall or start from scratch. Working with constraints like the body to me is only "fun" if it is going to be worthwhile in the end for reasons like still sorta looking like a Jeep product or enclosed.

Sealed cab will be secondary, if it happens at all. It's definitely not going to be as pretty as yours. I won't be going all the way to the firewall.

Anthony, I would really look into just building a tube buggy... and then welding on tabs to mount the XJ windshield frame, door frames, and part of the roof. You will have a stronger chassis with all tube instead of tube connected to the shred of unibody you have left, it will make designing and building the chassis easier for the same amount of strength, etc.

If I were to build a tube buggy it sure as hell wouldn't be powered by a 4.0. And I'm not buying a new (or old) engine any time soon.

I wouldn't have started with a shell of any vehicle if I was cutting as much off as you are.

I seriously think you need to start over. Cutting off a crossmember is no big deal,and consider the two plates you added up front a loss.

Oh, and venison is delicious. Caribou is yummy too.

Speaking of cardboard... we just got a new dog from the SPCA.... and its afraid of cardboard!!!! No pics yet, but plug "Shiba Inu" into google... thats the breed of dog. Very cool dog!!

haha that's awesome. I love when dogs have ridiculous fears like that. Kyra, our 5yo Bernese, is afraid of feathers. Find a feather on the ground, she'll go over, bend down to sniff it, and jump 2 feet in the air. I haven't noticed anything like that with Yogi yet, but we've only had him for a bit over a month so I'm sure something will turn up.
