THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

didn't it recently have invasive surgery to remove that? Though it did have a bit more up front as I recall.
Haha, no, the rust isn't gone yet. The part that was cut out wasn't rusty at all. I still have quite a bit to go.

I think I'm gonna call Carmelo and wake him up.

don't wake Carmelo up, you'll take him away from his happy place with his real friends:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The front tire in mine keeps popping tubes. I've gone through 3.

Tire's new, spokes & spoke liner are all good, pressure is fine...I dunno. Way disappointing.

I'll need to figure it out soon as my favorite mountain bike weather will be here shortly...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've got a new chain and cassette on the way for mine. It skips teeth when I put a lot of torque into it in higher gears.

go tubeless. i just put some tires i had on laying around... idk about dropping $1400 on a bike right now.. (even though the bike msrp is 2300) might just fix mine and save $ for the XJ and hopefully moving out west...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have this:

Trek Fuel 70. My one and only ever cragslist purchase. Some kid bought it, rode it once, and parked it for 2 years. Still had all the paperwork too. I showed up with $500 cash in hand and took it home.

Not the most stellar thing out there but it rides pretty nice and is stout enough for the riding I do.

What kind of flats are they(puncture or pinch)? Check the inside of the tire for thorns or small pieces of wire sticking through the tread.

It's not just your favorite mtb weather. It's the best riding weather period.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm too lazy to quote Adam's post about his being setup incorrectly, but what is setup wrong and what can't you get right?

for those that are unaware, I was a bicycle mechanic for almost 5 years...

More like a blowout.

I tagged the corner of a storm drain hard as hell riding home from the bar on July 4th. Up til that point it was fine, that particular impact blew two gashes in the tube.

I went over all the spokes and the tire and everything seemed fine, so I put a new tube in it and went riding. Parked it for the night, went to go ride again the next day, and the new tube had blown out the same way. I'd ridden on it pretty hard all day and it was fine.

Just got frustrated with it and then we had a heat wave so I didn't want to ride anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so in trying to track down why my driver side floor had 2" of water in it after the rain the other day, i found that a good chunk of the floor in the corner of the footwell is missing, just carpet. time to start thinking about pulling it up and ghetto patching that shit soon
i just found water in the drivers side floor in the mj.
I noticed the door widow sill was pushed out enough to see daylight.
So I sat down in the seat, placed both feet on the top part of the door, grabbed the top of the window and gave it hell.
Its pretty tight now:yelclap:
