THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hear that... I'm feeling a cold coming on too. ;)

Counting the 9 hours off for Rocktoberfest, I still have 31 hours of PTO left for the year. I can carry over up to 40 hours for next year, but I'm debating taking a Monday/Tuesday off soon and just haul ass on the MJ.

I'm thinking when it comes time to work on the front axle/suspension I might do that. Then I'll still have 13 hours to carry over towards next year or if something comes up beforehand.

I don't know yet. I might just save them all and wait until next year to blow them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish we got one lump sum of leave - I get different PTO and sick leave... And I never get sick. I've only been here for a year and 3 months and I have over 2 weeks of sick leave built up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You know a headache can be considered "sick".

All together between vaca, excused days and sick time(unless I have a doctors note), I get 6wks a year. As of Jan. I'll get another week and I can carryover time but only until the end of May.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lol. I have 108 hours available right now. That's after taking 2 weeks to go out to the Hammers, and a bunch of random fridays/mondays to go wheelin. :D

I accrue 4 PTO hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) and get an additional 3 'floating' days per year. The PTO accumulates and carries over as long as you want; the 3 floating days don't. So you just burn those first.

Your first 2 or 3 sick days per year - I forget - come out of your PTO. This helps keep people from just calling out sick randomly. After that, if you get a doctor's note or something, it changes...but I don't know how, I've never taken one day off for being sick, let alone a bunch.

Another cool thing. Last year I got pulled in for Jury Duty. My job gives you full pay for up to 10 consecutive days, and then half I think. But I got stuck in Grand Jury, which was every monday for 16 straight weeks. Since it's not consecutive I still got paid for all of them, so basically I got 16 mondays in a row off for free. And most of the time Grand Jury was out by lunchtime. Sweet. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I know. I've thought about that. I've had a headache and been sleeping poorly all week too. It's really weird for me to have a headache and not sleep well because those are two things that 'don't happen to me.'

Same, except for the 3 floating days.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so in trying to track down why my driver side floor had 2" of water in it after the rain the other day, i found that a good chunk of the floor in the corner of the footwell is missing, just carpet. time to start thinking about pulling it up and ghetto patching that shit soon

I get (iirc) 14 days, a floating holiday, and 3-4 days of sick leave.

I don't even remember how much I have left for the year, it's around 12 or more, I have been saving my time for if I ever buy a house. I also had about two weeks left at the end of last year, one week of which moved forward.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I get 13 annual leave, 13 sick, and the 10 paid holidays throughout the year... 36 days off your first year in isn't bad. I'll never use all 13 days of sick though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Your jeep is sick, it needs axles, a cage, a doubler, and a back end.

I want this

I think the clearance lights in my truck are leaking a bit of water onto the headliner. I watched it drip down yesterday. Gonna have to check that out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well, whatever this was about.
Ah, alright, yeah that was about enterprise class SSDs. I usually just refer to them as drives though since most people don't give a damn (or know anything about) SSDs.

^^^This. Good luck  I'm glad that I have THAT project behind me (except 2-3 small patches I need to finish under the rear seat, but those are a big maybe

I get something like 10 vaca days, 2 floating holidays, and ??? sick days. I don't keep track of suck days because my boss doesn't do the sick days thing. If I get sick I call him and tell him I feel like crap and I won't make it in (hasn't happened yet). If he gets sick he does the same. If I am well enough to check emails throughout the day I don't have to worry about using sick time. Only need to take sick time if I am going to be completely out of touch.

i'm very afraid. i think i'll just suck it up until rocktoberfest (provided they OK my request for time off), and then tear it apart afterwords and fix shit. all i really care about it keeping it from leaking, i know this jeep isn't going to last muuch longer so i don't want to sink too much $$ into it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i will say though, i'm glad i have the truck now to DD. it's supposed to rain like 2 inches tomorrow, so i don't want to the jeep driving just spitting more and more water into the cab, letting it rust more and more

but shit.... i'm working outside. fawk it'll be a wet morning for sure

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My sick time needs to be used as sick time or "sick" time when you really need it. I have 2 weeks but there seperate weeks and you have to use the week all at once. If you use only a day you lose the other 4, so basically your out 5 if you take it. The only good part is if you have a doctors note you can get paid upto 6months on each of those weeks. After the 6months you drop to 80% pay.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have 6 sick days a year, if i dont use them they pay me for them at the end of the year. so i dont use them lol its a free extra paycheck
