Haha, I knew it was there, but it was covered with crap and I wanted to keep it.

I forgot to mention that I got the ax-15 output shaft glowing bright orange and am letting it slowly cool. I'll check on it tomorrow as it was still quite hot when I came inside. I'm hoping that it's no longer hardened.

I have the sudden desire to create an account and pay up on pirate.... :eyes:

I also really want a decent long arm setup for cheap. I could build my own but I think for now I want to get it done quick and buy the kit.

I found Adam a 14b locker the other day and found him a 60 locker today. That asshat owes me some beer now!!!

then again, I don't know why I'm jumping to get these straps... I was gonna get the super pack, which I like because it integrates the axle straps (I'm sure I'd misplace them easily enough) and that's $135 with free shipping from them. I think I'm gonna go that route instead. I forgot about the free shipping Mac's does...

I dont like the built in axle straps, sometimes they can be a pain to get in place. The seperate ones are nice to be able to tuck around brackets/CA's/etc and give you some versatility to strap different things.

Oh I didn't look closely enough.

Anything less than double shear on your black heep and you're gay again.

my shock mounts are single shear and they hang below the axle. all that's happened is the nut is getting eaten up a little, but i'm sure I can get it off. You 2 are a bunch of pansies.

Same with my XJ44 rear except they didn't hang below the tube. Nut still got eaten up though.

They only lasted because the leaf spring perches went up through the floor

Personally, I like to work in some explosion points into my vehicles. Rear shock mounts are ideal for this concept.

I still find it hilarious. I am actually very proud of how awful my welds were. I have actually never seen welds as bad as what were on my shock mount. The first time I pulled out my welder and pulled the trigger my welds were better:jester:
