yeah but too slowly :spin1: but at least no one can tell you to buy a kit for this!

As for that diff cover, it's pretty awesome but I've never seen a set of diff gears wear out due to anything except bearing problems or setup problems or too much go pedal. Maybe I'm missing something, but I figure if I change the lube when I'm supposed to, I'm already doing better than 99% of the driving public and my diffs will likely last forever with only bearing and seal replacements.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill was posting that for ****s and giggles.

In reality, you can overheat gears especially when towing. Doesn't usually happen in stock form but it is possible.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Uh oh... plans?
You already know my plans. I cannot be dissuaded :firedevil

I've seen a fair amount of trucks from the factory with heat sunk diff covers. Nissan Titan is all I can think of off the top of my head, though.

That's because they thought it would be a good idea to use a D44 as a rear axle in a half ton truck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That was something I was unaware of. All I noticed was an aluminum heat sink...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my transfercase gets so hot it boils my spit on hot highway runs.

i thought this was weird until i went under friends jeeps and spit on thier transfer cases.

my 60 gets pretty warm too. but intents housing and thick ass cover doesnt dissipate heat too well...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That pic was at MaBell sometime last summer. July-ish I think...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't have any pics good enough to go in an avatar I don't think. I will continue being avatar-less for the time being. :thumbdn:

And my trans tunnel heats my Jeep quite a bit. My drivers side door is a little out of line so it bends the front fender in right in front of the door. I also have no speakers in the door. My buddy started pulling my bent fender out and I told him not to.. gives me a nice (and much needed) intake vent for a draft that comes through the speaker hole :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought you were coming over to grab those tanks tonight?

Don't TOUCH that 2x6!!!

I need a decent amount for each side.

.!.:D.!. too late!!! you'll still get at least 6 ft. I may stop by later, if i get in the zone and actually start doing work, im not gunna wanna stop (i hoping this happens so i get something done)

:twak: DOING IT WRONG

Im not chopping anything, i getting my ass wheeling again by nacfest.

Didn't you have dovetail plans?

I do, up front. Since I dont wanna do any chopping out back (right now) I'll leave it with a fat ass and a skiny nose.
