Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright I give up, how do you quote someone in your sig?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

for ME, you silly goose

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Because instead of spending $60 on staps you'll spend $500 in other random crap and forget to buy straps.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha! true!! ok, let's say I went somewhere other than TSC and got the same straps at the same price

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Travis, my dad just bought the straps we have at a trailer supply store.

After I figured out how to use them (and sprayed some WD-40 on the gears/ratchet mechanism) they work mint without a problem. Even have axle straps.

The only thing to check is that they are long enough to grab whatever tie downs they will anchor to. My dad had to add a short piece of chain to the end of the ratchets he got so they would reach.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's another thing, the TSC ones are 27' long, so more than enough, whereas the macs ones are available as 6 or 8', I think it'd be nice to have the extra length in case I'm ever tugging around something other than a Jeep.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ok, bill, you'll probably be like BAHHH NOOOOOOOO!! for some reason or other, but why not just get these?

theres no reason it wouldnt. Mine are a matching set of 4 rachet straps and 4 seperate axle straps that i scored at an auto parts swap meet. they work good and kept my junk secure all the way to NACfest and back.

having that much extra SUCKS!!! i have 2 other rachet straps that are 25 footers, they are jsut a pain in the ass. 6/8 footers are more then enough and ive used mine on a bunch of different cars and materials no problem.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Did I mention mine are all black to match my black trailer and black jeep being towed by a black truck with a black cap? :greensmok

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

travis im gonna go with everyone else here. i bought 20' straps and hate them. u cant keep the extra out of the way. i eded up buying 6' straps without rachets and keeping toe 20' in case i needed to lug enythign else around

www.awdirect.com they are next day shipping and ive found pretty decent price wise

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, I'm planning a day trip to Boston within the next week or so, any ideas of what to do/where to go any restaurants to check out? Preferably the cheaper the better.

im going wednesday!

i usually take the train up from attleboro to back bay, from there take a little walk to the subway station and get an all day pass. here is what i have done:

Aquarium=not so cheap BUT THEY HAVE PENGUINS
Boston museum of science= can be cheap if you wanna just check out the exhibits, but you have the option of seeing some shows.
go bother mark=cheap
faneuil hall=buncha shops, street performers, and eateries
blow a wad of cash on a sox game
theres some fancy mall and you can take the elevator to the top floor and get a 360* view of the city.

usually eat at the hard rock, because its always awesome and i get to look at pretty guitars. Havent gone in a little while other than to fenway park. where i eat sausage sammiches outside the park.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sounds PIMP

the ghey stocker silver steelies on the dirtymax bug me. I wanna spray them black to match when I break down the tires to add balancing beads and rotate them.

then = MURDERED OUT!!!

thats true, maybe I'll get some longer ones and toss them in the box I have to put on the front of it, and then I'll just have em in case, but I can use the shorter and easier to handle ones for the Jeep ,which will be the majority of the time...
