THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

T-pain, did you get to drive the XJ at all with the driveshaft in? I'm curious to know if there are any vibes or anything (not that you probably care ).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nope, didn't bother :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no worries on the driveshaft, and the frame hasn't gotten any better....but it hasn't gotten any worse!

it might hate life after this weekend.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was thinking about registering late but the only thing i meet the requirements for are the easy class 6 bs and thats a waste of time and money so im gonna work on the jeep.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I did class 6 roads the first year.

They were definitely easy, but some fun lines (I was on 31s with a front locker/rockrails/t-case skid).

Sunday you get to do whatever trail you want, provided you get up in time to register.

do i find someone to mooch a ride along with at FC or just sit around the site and drinky.

Yeah he was trying to sell it on here for a while. He said he got it for $575 shipped, and (as he is now) he was trying to sell it for $550 and wouldn't ship it. IIRC he is now down to $475 on the NAC classifieds...

But really it would be cheaper to get it delivered to my door brand new than to drive out and pick it up from him for the $550 he wants and I know most folks in the NAC are in the same boat. I would easily spend $25+ in gas plus 4 hours to drive out and get it. Now that he is to $475 it is actually very tempting, but it's for a 4 dr so I would need to modify it to work with my 2dr so meh.

edit:

Yeah, I checked the NEA site and it says all trails are full except the two easy class 6 groups. I am tempted to go up and hang out (do I have to pay if I am just hanging out?) but I doubt I will be wheeling at all if I do go; I agree, not worth the $$.

ugh I hate that rule. A few years ago they didn't have the sign ups for Sunday and we just went out and had fun for a few hours. Way better. And then the first year they had the sign ups, one person got up and filled in all our names for one trail...They put an end to that the following year :laugh3:

Actually it says it will work for a 2 or 4 door.

this cage is designed to work with both 4 an 2 door models, shortning of the side impact bar are required for the 4 door model

Ah, i just looked at the user name and knew who it was... he never mentioned it being 2dr friendly in the NAC thread he started, at least not in the original post or anywhere else that I saw.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

NO EXCUSES NOW SCOTT! :laugh3:

and about that welder/chop saw... That looks like a good price to me. and if you get it, I'd LOVE to take that extension cord off your hands for a few bucks if ya don't need it :)

 Other than that I don't really NEED a cage yet and I would rather rip out my dash and build one that goes through the dash to avoid all the bends. I would rather put htat $500 into other stuff on my Jeep for now.

And I took down that #. I have a con call in 10 min but I am going to call about it on the drive home. Planning on picking up $$ from the ATM tomorrow morning if he still has it I think. And I will prolly be using the extension myself, but I will let you know.

 you shoulda told me while you were visiting Colin, i made his extention cord too. i think it cost something like $60-70 for a 20 footer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

3.73 and up carrier's are the same regardless of HP or LP correct?

And anyone know where to get a brandy new roll pin? I can find new cross shafts but not roll pins.

Believe so.

Jeff you can steal a seat off me, warning my shit may break without warning.

Also rob if I don't manage to break my jeep by Sunday you can beat on it for a bit

dang. Oh well :) I didn't even think of it at the time. I know shorter is better as far as running the welder(?) but I'd need something longer realistically, like 50ft or so... any idea what that'd cost to make up? If its too much $$ or not worth your time I could always pick something up somewhere I suppose

Colin isn't answering my text messages!!! :bawl:

if you want a 50 footer, itll probably be around $100. Colin's cord is ~20'; plus the like 6-8' cord built in to the welder, plus the 6-8' from the leads, and he could weld all the way at the front of his tent no prob.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmm alright. Well I'm gonna need one, seeing as I'll be unplugging the dryer and running the cord around the house to the driveway :) sooo I dunno. I guess if you're bored tomorrow feel free to make one and have Colin bring it to me?!?! That'd be swell. If not though, no big deal we can figure something out next week or something.
