Since this is now your second AX-15, wouldn't you think it is more of a user error, than transmission error...?

fixed the pic.

first transmission... that thing was a combination of the tcase drop, hammering the shit out of in the snow/ice and a pile of other problems so that ended up XXXXing the reverse idler gear. this one shifted great though, and i never had a problem with the syncros at all

the second transmission was completely unknown, which i got from anthony, who got it from billy, who got it from someone else. nobody knew how many miles / abuse / past history of the thing at all, besides the fact that it was external slave. and since it was there and i needed something ASAP, in it went.

i can still sort of get around too, i just have to rev up high in 2nd and shift straight to 4th for the time being. i think also my rear main seal is leaking and is affecting the clutch a little bit too, so its a fawking mess

i thought he got it from a military auction...

he said he did do a lot of winching haha. but he knows his rig extremely well. so im sure the tug was needed

Honestly, I dont blame him. He was in some hairy situations and probably would of rolled twice at Lobsters if he didn't winch. Said he used it more times yesteday than he has in the past five years haha.

Don't blame him at all. I would have used my winch in this same place if mine was hooked up. He ended up winching me here as well.

Mine was just as clean, 1 family owned (father passed down to son who was in his 40's/50's), and 64K on it. I paid 1/3 of that price.

Yeah the red steering didn't go with the blue Jeep too well haha. There holding up good so far, just gotta replace a u-joint and a unit bearing hub.

haha i bet it didnt. i dunno how the hell all that stuff is bad. that axle was only used maybe 5-7 times.

hmm. i can understand the u joint, i wasnt exactly nice to it but the bearing...i used a nice new snap on torque wrench to tighten it...maybe ill make sure its calibrated

Unfortunately I don't think these will cover most, or any, of the damage really. Maybe on the driver side it will pull the panel out, but damn, wish the damage was lower.
