THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ac delete!!! do want!! i wanna strip out all the ac stuff on red jeep. should just need the pulley/bracket and the interior control panel thingy. let me know what they want.

Why not keep the compressor for on-board air? That's my plan.

Nope, full flat one piece window. Wish I'd known you needed a slider window unit, the red LWB they had till last weekend had one, would have pulled it for you :( BTW, *when* you break taillights wheeling that thing, I have a set of semi broken ones you can have ultra cheap if you want plus the set I just picked up for 30 bucks, you pay what I paid. I can either hold them for you till you break yours, or stick em on the classifieds for the same amount, let me know.

Sounds good to me. I should take the taillights that are on it off and put ont he broken ones so when they do break I'm not upset

:D i jsut dont wanna buy a gas truck anymore. if you had the 4.8, i would give you crap everyday. word on the street is that even the hopped up 4.8's are still dogs.

Word on the street is for all the truck talk you do you don't have one.

:D

2270  ive always hated most car trailer weights. yes yours is a full deck and junk, but mines at least 1000# lighter then yours. its pretty much the lightest steel car trailer available, its on par wieght wise with most aluminums

I don't see what's wrong with a 2k lb trailer. My truck doesn't seem to mind ours with my XJ on it.

I don't see a problem with pulling Carmelo's Honcho on it either :dunno:

i'm picking up a tire groover today. my SX's have a date with it.

AWESOME

later on. like 7ish

when is crown open til tonight?

7:30

Isn't red jeep staying a street machine? Though I guess it'd be nice to be able to patch and refill a tire. I don't really get the AC delete thing, I figure as long as the bearings in the clutch are in good shape, just yank the lines off it and clip the clutch engage wire and leave it there, or maybe replace it with a second alternator. But hey, if he wants the parts, I'll pull em, it's no big deal.

That sounds like a plan  they are the ones that came on mine before I grabbed new lights at the JY a few weeks ago. I only realized they were broken when I tried to replace one of the bulbs and some of the black plastic housing back-half fell off in my hand. Call me a perfectionist I guess :looney:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh good call I thought he meant the black jeep, skimmed over that part :gee:.

I'd keep the AC in the red jeep. I'm going to fix the AC in my truck. Helps when the dress code at work requires pants.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's what windows are for :dunno:

Only time I really wish I had AC is when I'm sitting in traffic sweating with no wind.

My company's dress code basically doesn't exist (basically - anything legal for the public, and closed toe shoes when in labs) but I think I can count the times I've worn shorts instead of jeans in the last two years on my hands. I just prefer jeans...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wear slacks daily. I used to wear jeans or cargos a couple years ago when I worked in the same building and was DD'ing the Jeep. Even sitting in traffic I never had much of an issue (sat in approx 45 min of traffic on the drive home every day due to 495 construction). That's what taking the doors off is for  Though I do need to look into OBA. Ever since I put a drill through my AC hose I have been telling myself that... but idk how much work it is and never spent the time to figure it out. Now I just have a 'useless' AC pump spinning there stealing power.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you don't have a problem sitting in traffic in 90 degree weather with pants on and a button down shirt or polo with everyone else around you blasting their AC then there's something wrong with you.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm a cold blooded reptile, that much is clear :dunno:

I do have a problem with it... just not enough of a problem to bother fixing my damn AC. XJ has a slow leak somewhere or other, I recharged it and it worked for about 6 hours and then went dead again. MJ uses R-12 and I am unwilling to bend over and get a retrofit kit that includes a new drier and all the junk to make it work again when it might be a waste due to a bad evaporator unit.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

check a certain build thread for a awsome update

AND I'm a fatass... go figure. :rof:

I got used to the temp pretty quick. Idk why I didn't have much of an issue with it, I thought I would. And I usually wasn't wearing a button down, usually a polo, but thats beside the point. 99% of the time I just wore pants straight through the summer. By the time i got out of work I didn't care and just stayed in the pants I had on if I went to meet friends in the evening after work and on weekends I worked under the Jeep and threw jeans on. It just became normal to me.

Last sun when it was 86 I had no problem laying under the dash of a black XJ in the JY with all doors closed (the door shut behind me) and I was wearing jeans and a black shirt. The heat sucked for the first 30 min or so then I got used to it :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yes, yes it is. did the guy you were telling me about that deserved it get it?

You betcha :woohoo: So I get FT and a raise :woohoo:

its funny, black jeep is the only vehicle ive ever owned that has AC/the AC works, thus why it doesnt OBA yet. Although in the 4 or 5 years ive owned it, its been used many 4 times. ive never been an AC person, i hate having windows up. i ride with my windows down in the winter, i enjoy it :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tpizzle: sick yo.

Rob: I bet I know what it is without even looking.

Glad I'm not the only one. If it's too cold to be comfortable that way, I blast the heat... I figure that heat's either going out the radiator or out my window, might as well have it go out the window.

The only surefire ways to get me to close the window are (a) call my cellphone or (b) make it rain/snow really really hard.

yeah, pretty awesome. The only thing that sucks is I'll never have any weeknights that I'm around, but that's OK because I'll have a better check, I'll be a supervisor now so an extra better check, and I don't have to work with that DB anymore. Ohhh what a good day. :greensmok
