I've been going to bed by 11-12 and waking up every day at 5-7 this week... today is a wacky one, I'm still at work and will be for another hour or so. Hopefully still waking up at 7am though, I need to hit the junkyard before work!

Between the wonky amounts of time tests run for, and the fact that we're like 15 heads under-staffed (we have 45 or so), everyone's doing some pretty wacky hours. I got in at nearly 11 today due to hitting the JY way harder than I meant to, and I've been jumping out of work almost on normal schedules for the last week and a half to work on the generator/compressor/thing, so I had some catch-up work to do today.

Between this, trying to buy a house, and general annoyance at the idiotic bureaucratic crap that comes from being in a large company, I would jump ship in a second, not sure what I want to do next but it's either embedded systems design or mechanic work, just for a change of scenery, I really don't know.

I now have a functional ebrake! :D It's the small achievements that I get to be happy about. None of that D60-14b bull.

Now just gotta put the rear tires on, pull the front tires off, bleed up front, and swap out draglink and the Jeep should be rolling down the road again. :thumbup:

I may be showing up as well depending how early I can get out of work and if I can get my brakes bled and steering done fast. If that is done early enough then I will stop in for a while.

And speaking of making more money, i just got my first post-raise paycheck... it was the same as before... SCOTT RAGE! My boss is going to have to make some phone calls tomorrow/friday.

Careful you don't get screwed on that. I've been told I was gonna get a raise and that it would take place the next pay period and they didn't do it until the one after. Make sure you and your boss both call.

hahaha, go figure. I just gave away the tires (but not the rims) I had on the classifieds this morning... some dude just emailed me wanting to buy them. First email I've gotten about them in weeks.

My timing is amazing :roll: at least it wasn't that much money.

I thought about it and there's a chance that my raise wasn't actually supposed to be applied to this check. My 1-year mark was very late April and my boss gave me my review a week or so early and said 'this should be on your next check'... my official 1-year mark was quite late in the pay period (I am salary).

Maybe the raise is effective starting the pay period following my 1 year point. (aka my raise is official as of this pay period and will be reflected in my next paycheck :dunno: my boss might have just been mistaken. I am the first person he has ever had working under him (at least with this company as far as I know) so maybe he just fawked up and should have said "raise will be effective next pay period" not "will be reflected in your next check". I am still asking about it... but I won't hold it against him if he made a mistake. Chances are if he fawked up he will just say "sorry, want to go out for a few rounds of beer and/or foodstuffs to make up for it?" and he would just charge that to the company :laugh: either way I won't complain. Honestly I am still just grateful to have a job after my 5 months of unemployment last year.
