THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I had those parts available at those prices I would have a 440 in my XJ... Or I would buy an MJ to put said parts in.... Just saying.

I'm going to quote this twice to emphasize:wave1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was on 2 wheels for about 180 miles today

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Actually, Colin. Can I get those parts at somewhat near that price if you are not going to utilize them in a manner worthy of being discussed at this time?

I would love to utilize them to make my Jeep better. Or to make my altima better.... on that thought, I wonder what Nissan would think if I brought my '08 altima in for it's 60k mile tuneup and it had a 440 and RWD...

I feel a sudden need to have the most badass '08 altima coupe on the road today...

I only got like 20 miles under my belt, if that. :( Though I did put about 200-300 miles in on 4 wheels and picked up a couple doors that are being halved for my XJ.

I REALLY cant wait for the new tires. every time I look at my bike and realize how old and shitty my current tires are compared to the E3's I just have to smile. May have run me $330 for 2 tires though I was expecting $400+ I can't wait until they clear the sand off the roads so I don't have to go into each corner wondering if there is an incoming beach.

I need to find a reasonably priced TBI kit.

Research continues...

If you find the correct chevy in a junk yard it's sub $100 for what you need minus the throttle body. The hardest part will be controlling spark advance(you can choose to run vacuum advance).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So i yank everything off a 454 TBI setup?

Make some kind of adapter for the intake manifold?

Nope

Here:
· ECM (production GM unit)
· Custom calibration chip for your specific application
· TBI Unit Includes TPS and IAC control
· Flow Matched Fuel Injectors
· Custom built wiring harness for your vehicle
· Optional tach Filter (add $75)
· TBI adapter gasket and hardware
· ECT, MAP & O2 sensor
· External Fuel pump with relay
· Power relay
· Check engine indicator
· Installation instructions
· Tech support
· Many miles of low maintenance fuel injection operation

The is from http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/index.php?id=30&title=Mopar+Throttle+Body+Fuel+Injection

It's a kit for chryslers and they can obviusly make it work for any engine size. As you can see it uses a GM ECM. Everything you need will come from any chevy with a 7747 ecm. You basically need the computer and wiring from one(car, truck, whatever doesn't matter).

Holley makes the throttle body you need in a bunch of different cfm ratings. I believe it comes with an adapter plate for your intake as well. I'm not gonna get into what you'll have to do about the distributor and other sensors but like I said. Worst comes to worse you run closed loop and a properly tuned closed loop TBI setup is still nice from what I hear.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so if i get the 95 to run the trans will not have the tcase on it, ya think fluid will come pouring out?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I read more on the link I posted. To control spark you can a few things.

Use this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOPA...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Use an MSD box that allows the ECM to tap into and control advance.

Or that place makes "tach filters" don't know how you would make one yourself or if they sell them but atleast you know it's fully possible. You can omit pretty much every other sensor I believe. Things like the CTS are good to keep and easy to adapt to anything. Knock sensor is dumb...

Did you buy tires already or are you going to be buying some? I have a set of brand new tires I need to sell because I just sold my bike yesterday.

I already ordered them and paid, but I could probably cancel and get my $$ back.

What do you have? It sucks but I pretty much need cruiser tires (16" front 15" rear). The bike I have can hold up against performance oriented bikes... but all performance bikes went to 16/17" wheels and tire companies followed... so now I have one hell of a time finding a performance tire for this bike, aka no one makes a radial for this size so I got the next best thing.

Edit: and what did you have for a bike?
