THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Agreed, back in college I could go strong until 6-8 usually before I started dragging, if I napped for a half hour at some point over the night I could usually make it until noon or early afternoon.... however I don't think I would do that now. I stay at work until 7 or 8 on occasion, but that's good enough for me and is later than my boss stays... and then usually drive the 45 min home and get back on emails. I regularly stay on emails until I pass out at whatever times, but only reply to any critical ones.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

on the plus side, this means I'm fairly well positioned to get everything I need to get done today by noon to 3PM... and it'll be getting sunny around then... I sense a junkyard run, then passing out early after fixing the jeeps a bit. I would be full of shit if I said I didn't consider going home at 2AM (after finishing all the crap that got dumped on me last-minute) and then realize I could probably pull this kind of thing off.

Weather says it's gonna clear up around 11AM :party1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, i almost rode my bike today. sorta wishing i did. the commute in this morning would have been slightly miserable though. good luck with everything ken.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

thanks.

Anything I'm forgetting at the JY?
* rear shaft for an auto/35, manual/8.25, or manual/35 if I happen to see one for 90XJay
* WJ booster + ABS + LF wheel sensor
* driver door latch
* air filter (blowby/CCV issue is so bad I fill em with oil in a few thousand miles right now, not buying a new one that often :gee:)
* diff vent line cap
* 8.25 cover
* booster spacer
* 95/96 washer fluid tank
* kitchen sink
* partridge
* pear tree
* look at exploder rear driveshaft design

Anyone need anything? Nothing that requires me to jack a vehicle up just to look at it please, other than that, most stuff is fair game

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Add a cooler off an early exploder to your list. Will help prolong the life of your AW4 and they're cheap as ****.

Also, why haven't you purchased new CCV valves yet on top of the valve cover? They were pretty damn cheap straight from the dealer (somewhere below $20 for both I think?). I'd also do a valve cover gasket at the same time and clean all the gunk out of there. Another $8 unless you want the nice metal insert rubber gasket (~$40).

Eh, only things I need require the vehicle to be jacked up. Pitman arm from a ZJ and front driveshaft from a V8 ZJ. Well, those plus 95/96 XJ booster (if I can find one) or WJ booster but I will deal with that myself.

And yeah, I was very tempted to ride in this morning myself. Maybe tomorrow. I don't want to take the highway since the back roads are a much nicer ride, but that just means that I either have to leave earlier in the morning (not likely to happen :laugh3:) or I have to show up a bit late. Oh plus I don't get my coffee in the AM and the stuff they have here at work makes me feel like shit for some reason.

At least the back roads only add about 15 min to the drive. an hour vs 45 min isn't too bad for taking back roads.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm XXXXing pissed, I just found out the input gear I have is wrong for my hole XXXXing setup. I need to track down a super rare dana 20 input gear to make my shit XXXXing work.

What's the super rare D20 input gear that you need?

Is it the one I have?

:D

you shoulda rode it. because I'm going to go to your house and break open the door on the barn (if it's even locked?) and I'm gonna ride it :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ha, lock the barn? i'm surprised the damn thing hasn't just fallen over by now. but the bike itself is locked. i might go for a quick spin when i get home.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

meh those locks aren't that difficult. thanks for the info :thumbup:

cooler - already on it, I have a plate cooler from a ZJ/WJ I'm going to be installing when I do the AW4 swap. Might pick up some exploder ones for both jeeps at the all you can carry, actually, that's where I got the ZJ/WJ ones.

CCV valves - I haven't found the right part numbers to ask for at the dealer/NAPA yet :roflmao: at around 3AM I ordered a fel-pro valve cover gasket ($33) and other assorted gasketry however (dizzy + OFA, MJ fuel pump retaining ring, among other things.)

I know Joe Peters has posted the CCV replacement set info a few times so I'm probably going to scrounge around the forum a bit later today and order that stuff too. I figure once I've done the OFA, dizzy, and valve cover gaskets and fixed the CCV system, any oil leak that's left pretty much has to be the oil pan gasket or RMS.

meh those locks aren't that difficult. thanks for the info :thumbup:
as a friend of mine says, locks and doors are only there to make people feel safe. I have multiple other friends who can pick a standard kwikset/schlage door lock in seconds. If someone wants to get through they are going to.

OH HEY I DON'T HAVE AN INPUT GEAR THAT WOULD WORK WITH A JEEP TRANSFER CASE BEHIND AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IN FACT THE GEAR I HAVE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO USEABLE FOR THAT

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from lunch with a VP from my company.

There were some interesting topics discussed. One of which was a "jackass" (like the movie) theme for our booth at an upcoming event. Complete joke but his vision included midgets and a bear IIRC, along with other stuff that I will leave out :roflmao: I also learned through this lunch that I cannot expense a bikini wax. :gee::roflmao:
