I did have a ??? part in there. Once I consume copious amounts of beer, ??? is usually relatively accurate...

what are you gonna do with the 4cyl afterwards?

If you don't want it or will part with it for a small enough amount I may be interested in it for non vehicular purposes

(if it runs, I'm thinking of making a really big air compressor, if it doesn't, a coffee table would be excellent)

after consultation with the jet engine crew, the decision is that it'll be a compressor, welder, and DC generator.

Colin - when do you want it gone? Started working on the swap already or is this still plans? I'm not trying to rush you by riding your ass about taking away your junk, but it'd be amazingly awesome if I could get it working in time for the all you can carry, since I just bought an air powered angle grinder for junkyard usage.

Probably won't start working on pulling the drivetrain until NEXT weekend.

Stripping the harness, etc out of carmelo's XJ this weekend.

I don't really want to (already got one too many 35s), but if you want it gone I know a guy who will probably pick it up free... not sure he'll drive that far, if he won't I can pick it up and hand it off to him.

EDIT: I dunno, 2.5/ba-10/d35 would rock pretty hard too!

EDIT2: nm I am drivetrain-tarded and the ba-10 was not offered with the 2.5

EDIT3: oh. did you get lucky and get a decent gear ratio in that thing? Some guy out in western-middle-of-nowhere NY wants an MJ axle and might buy it off you, not sure.

No idea what the ratio is. I'll pop the cover when I yank it out and see whats up.

Deburr the inside edge of the tubing very well. Scrape any paint off the outside before clamping it into the flaring tool. Double flares only, single flares need not apply. Oh... and make sure you put the flare nut on the line first - don't ask! :gonnablow:
