whooo i figured out finally what the noises coming from the ass end of my jeep were! well, i haven't really been trying since i've just assumed the shackles were hitting the exhaust or something, but it turns out that one bumper mount bolt on each side was acting as a limiting screw for the shackles, and my lower shock mount bolts were a bit loose so they were knocking around a bit.
now i (should) have more flex and no noises! whoooo

in the jeep for a CB? its not that bad, i'm on my fourth antenna and third cable :laugh2:
lost one of my beloved infinity reference 5002i speakers today, she did well. i suspect dirt in the voice coil since the tweeter still works. was in the jeep since i got it... bought a pair of polk db651 (marine rated ftw) for the front doors. the old ass pioneers in the back refuse to die, and i refuse to replace them until they do.

Nah for the radio, it was actually probably one of the easiest things i've ever done minus removing the cable from my xj. It just happened to take longer than putting in an axle :dunno:

yeah it's more of a rats nest or a gordian knot than a birds nest tbh. I hate digging around back there.
I think I'm gonna use my hydro jack to move my desk over, my landlord wants me to move it so the handyman can fix something or other (the ghetto handyman, I am not looking forward to seeing his work) but also wants to be able to open the closet door on the other side of my desk to show potential new tenants how big it is... one or the other, lady, the desk fits perfectly between the two.

holy moly my jeep rides way smoother and is way quieter now that i tightened up those shock mount bolts!

I love it when that happens, yeah replacing my right rear shock solved the random clunking and grinding noises I was getting. New clunking and grinding noises have since replaced them.

i think i'll be getting new clunking noises at least when i put on the 7100s because they dont have bushgings but heims. for now though i'm just going even faster and faster over the train tracks i go over to get to my house

my front end makes lots of noises now
its tight as hell though
i think its the u joints floppin in the wind and silly metyal brakeline bracket that comes free on the silverado lines ratta-tappin mah control arms

so ive heard welded rear ends will make the tires squeel when turning, how loud is this squeel? cuz i just finished mine up tonight and when i turn the thing squeels like crazy, sounds like im burning out. seems to be only coming from the left rear though, im thinkin the caliper might be sticking too.
oh and my brakes are 10003432043 times better, ZJ disks FTW!
