Brilliant and I have about 10 damn bikes laying around my house. I'm sure I can find one of those.or use the shifter off a 10spd mountain bike or similar, essentially offers 10 different idle speeds. really easy to mount on the shifter![]()
Light's an overachiever.wow, that's impressive. but still 5500x slower than light![]()
And couldn't you just use the shifter with an extra Jeep throttle cable? What's to say you need to use the shifter cable? :dunno:
I lied.
Now it's snowing really really hardcore :roflmao:
Flakes were about the size of a quarter a few minutes ago, they're down to dime size now.
As was already stated, shifter cable is much smaller... but if needed I'll just cut a throttle cable and a shifter cable down and splice the 2 together. There isn't that much resistance in the throttle; I think the shifter cable should be enough to pull it fine though. My only question is if the 10 speed shifter has enough throw to move the throttle enough to make it work (though the fact that you brought it up makes me think you have seen it done before so it must)
Yea, I can barely see a window (probably 50-75 meters away and blind is half way down), but looks kinda whitish outside.
I'd go for it, it's not a critical one, your hand shifter breaking because of an undersized cable will not keep you from driving home. Moving the cable about 3/4" is a couple thousand RPM from what I recall while jumping the MJ from the XJ yesterday morning. As was already stated, shifter cable is much smaller... but if needed I'll just cut a throttle cable and a shifter cable down and splice the 2 together. Agreed, unless I'm doing scientific stuff, SAE units it is. 0.1" pin spacing on most electronic components guarantees that idiots who use 2mm pin spacing headers make my life difficult when laying out a PCB.what country are we in? USA? yes? ENGLISH UNITS :twak:
:soapbox::soapbox::soapbox: i just went downstairs to check to see if my neighbor dropped off some steel i forgot to grab and i found 4-5" of water in my basement and the sump pump was clogged with all the dirt that was on the floor. after i reached down 2.5 ft into ice cold water, it's now draining.
my welder and grinder were on a part of the floor that's usually dry but now had 4" of water. hopefully they're ok.
Rob, who'd you buy motor mounts from?
Anthony, damn, that sucks. I really hope the welder's OK, at least you can swing the angle grinder around a bit to get water out of it then let it dry and it'll almost definitely work.
Hell, I washed my 19.2V Crapsman sawzall off in the shower after my last trip to southern NAC, it was completely covered in mud :roflmao: still works great.
:nono:

I'm a big fan of shooting flies with rubber bands, or if I'm really pissed off (and well practiced) my pellet gun.
