THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i know another way that will make it hard for them to open their doors. and it would take a lot less prep work.

sledgehammer.

If you can use a sledgehammer and do more damage than the rock at Lobsterfest I leaned on, more power to you. The window still rolls up and down and the door opens closes fine :dunno:

oh oh oh can I try? Can I use a pick-axe instead of a sledgehammer?*

Ok, maybe it skipped everyone else's mind, but my very first thought was to ram the side of Colin's jeep with my jeep :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and as far as the whole torx on top of the transmission thing is concerned...the last time I put my transmission back in my jeep was on a Thursday night at 1am before a weekend of wheeling...I wasn't exactly in a position to replace them at that point in time :laugh3: Plus, to be honest, it doesn't really bother me. They're a pain to get to regardless, so whatever. They suck, and that's basically all there is to it

You almost accomplished that at Carnage Hill LOL.

BTW, Pano's Saturday?

Also, not sure if I can make it on Sunday morning anymore. I have to help my uncle do some yard work if I want to stay on his good terms.

I mean, after all, he handed me the keys to his '73 Charger 400 (forged internals, yada yada) a few weekends ago. Adam was there. With 3.23s, that thing had way too much pedal left at 80+.

You, good sir, owe a whole lot more than yard work... ::grumbles:: I wanted to BUY my aunts 67 Stang (6 cyl convert) to build into my project car and I told her that several years back. She sold it since then. I love how I was overlooked :( It was nice too. Needed new convert top, maybe a bit of door hinge work I think, but otherwise it had just sat in her garage as long as i can remember. Couldn't have had very many miles on the body, and I'm sure there was little or no rust. like I said, it had just been in her garage as long as I can ever remember, just sitting under a cover. I planned on buying a late 80's or early 90's stang and swapping in the full 5.0 fuel injected drivetrain. It was a sad say when I heard she had sold that car.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It gets better. The guy with the "camanchee door" OWNS an auto body shop - Cloots Auto Body. Guess I'll never go there...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have an idea... you know the stupid bolts at the top of the bellhousing that are inverted torx? when i change my tranny i'm going to get new bolts that match the bolt size and the grade. problem solved.

get some studs and red locktire the to the engine block, will make installing/lining up trans alot easier, btw when pullin the trans in the green jeep it was missing those 3 bolts, maybee thats why the driveplate came out in 2 pieces

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmm that could work too. the thing is, loctite relaxes with heat. and engines get hot.

isnt the red shit rated at a a bazillion degrees? or use whatever is higher then that either way it should work, ill be doing it when i get a trans back into the green jeepy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i cooked myself 7 eggs for dinner. and loaded them with hot sauce. delicious

No it isn't rated at a bazillion degrees. I was able to free up red loctite with a heat gun when I wasn't even putting direct heat on the red loctite.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

eggs are eaten...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'll bet you guys didn't know that loctite is much more specific than color. there is loctite specifically for ranges of thread fineness as well as intensity. i've never heard of loctite being heat resistant, but that doesn't mean they don't make one.

I'm hungry. I made myself mac n cheese/hot dogs earlier, which I brought to work. I think I'm gonna go eat in a few moments :)
