What are you buying for tires? I didn't buy a spare, but I might snag a HUMVEE 37" for a spare to get me off the trail if one turns up local. It'll be a big difference in size from my 39" Pitbulls, but it'll get the job done if the super unfortunate event arises.

im set on pitbull rockers, ill prob just puckup a cheap used 39 as a spare

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd disagree. Just taking off the 6 allen head bolts that cover the lockout dial itself is slow enough.
Their correct name is a Socket Head Cap Screw.

My last day of work is tomorrow.

I have a sh*t ton of stuff to get done. People are pissed that I'm leaving, because I won't be able to do work for them anymore.

On a side note, if you must put neoprene rubber into a pressure tank, don't put anything less than 70A durometer. It will stain paint.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just curious, why do you think the wires came unplugged?

Usually if you spin the wheel without anything connected, and go too far, you break the clockspring.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

THE D30 IS BACK IN!!!! everything is bolted, torqued, greased, cotter pinned, loctited, and ready to go!!!

Carmelo-if i hear anymore of this bitchin about driveshafts, im gunna come over there and flipped ur damn honcho over!! who the f*ck goes through all this time, effort, and couple hundred dollars to clearence a f*ckin muffler!?!?!?! smash, crash, move, offset the stupid thing and be done with it, no more posts about driveshafts!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

cuz the airbag, horn, and cruise control don't work... that's just 3 wires, nothing to do with a spring, right?

but my directionals turn off automatically still...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Everything to do with the spring. The wires attach to the spring, and the spring feeds power to the steering wheel. The spring is there so that as you turn the steering wheel, the spring winds and unwinds some with it, providing an electrical connection. Otherwise, if you tried using wires, you would rip them out once you turned the wheel.

The turn signals cancel out because that is purely a mechanical feature. (first time I took my turn signal switch out, I never put the little arm from the switch in the right place, so turning left I would have to manually cancel the blinkers)

I would just prepare for the worst. It would be sweet if the wires came unplugged, but I don't see how that could have happened, and I am about 91.3% sure that you snapped the clock spring after you said you turned it without anything attached.
