Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm doing a little modeling in SolidWorks right now for the Jeep.

Some new "headlights" might be in order.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm pondering a rear bumper that ties into the 5 frame rail mounts per side as well as the 4 per side stock bumper bracket mounts and has a receiver. having a welder makes one start to think. i just wish i had more time.

at that point the bumper is only as strong as your welds, that is almost overkill redundancy

I'm close to that. My rear ties into the back 4 frame rail mounts (same ones my old Hidden Hitch used to mount to) and all 8 of the stock bumper mount bolts. Oh yeah, and is welded into my exocage. So far it hasn't budged on me... Although I still plan on redoing it eventually. The only reason I have the large bumpers I have now was because they were a gift and overbuilt. I couldn't justify replacing them when I did my exo so I just tied into them. New, much higher clearance front winch bumper will be in the plans eventually too.

And I hear you on the welder. It used to be I had the welder but not the time, now I have the time but not the money...

i'd rather that than not dead yet.

theres 2 holes in the center of the rear crossmember you can use too, thats how my rear bumper will be, 20 grade 8 bolts FTW

My buddy is wrecking his 98 that I did the custom interior, sound system, and coilovers... by not driving it. He decided to park it till he's done school and last year decided to go for another 4 years.
