I plan on doing the same, at least initially. Once I have everything together and working, I'd consider ordering a real one if someone convinces me of the value of it, and then keep the homebuilt one as a spare.

I've lost driveshafts due to u-joints or direct impact but never because of something a more expensive pro-made one would've fixed.

What about local? Always heard good things about Mr Driveshaft in Wall.

Some douchebag (wearing a wifebeater, clearly not on the way to work) flew across the parking lot to cut me off getting into the DD drivethru line, then proceeds to dump all his trash out of the window as soon as he gets his coffee. I wish it was more acceptable to kick out a couple of tail lights when people did asshole shit like that.

at the moment, OT comes in the form of comp time but i would rather it that way anyway. after 200 hours i think (total, not per year) i can start cashing it out. the state is weird.

Some jerkoff in a ZJ tried to wedge in in front of me at the last minute (like, ended up sitting on the diagonal striped section where cops ticket your ass if you're seen, in stop and go traffic) going from 90E to 95N today. I don't think he realized that more dents = right of way, especially when you're being a cockbag to someone, but he lost that one.
