Know what else sucks? Needing customer service.
They were always great about getting me stuff...I just got tired of needing stuff. Supposedly they redesigned everything and got rid of the big Acme thread and look a lot nicer.
With an investment like that...remember it's not just the initial outlay of $$, it's trusting that investment to make all the other $$$$ you'll put into the rig (both in parts and wheeling trips) worthwhile.
For a savings of maybe a few hundred bucks now, I don't know that I'd want that nagging uncertainty that the next trip to Rausch that costs that same hundred bucks might be ruined by a bum shock the first time you try to do something cool.
Losing a coilover is a much bigger deal than losing a standalone shock that still has a spring next to it.
If you blow the reservoir cap off, you're ****ed for driving home unless you want to plan on rebuilding the entire shock when you get back.
The difference is FOA customer service doesn't blow lol. I know fox is the cool thing to do, but yea... $$$.
