if you guys thought the tcase linkage on jeeps was silly, you have no idea. its awesome compare to the H pattern shift thingy on the rover. its frozen solid lol. next warm weekend i'm gonna hit it with some heat and remove the whole thing... PB blaster and a hammer didnt do shit.

I drove a Jeep to work today that had 3 pedals and 5 forward gears, haven't done that in a while.

If he didn't check that out when buying it...that's pretty dumb.

I did, it's on the list of common problems with this truck. The PO never shifted it. The truck is almost 20 years old, expecting everything to work perfect isn't realistic.

he never shifted into 4wd? I'd be worried about more than the shifter being frozen...

for the right price i can include it!:laugh:

haha i got rid of that once i got my ankle back. that was all bolt on. talk about sketchy taking a corner pulling the clutch in with your left hand, down shifting with your right hand while holding the wheel and braking with your knee. kept you on your toes. hill starts were tricky at first.

It's full time 4wd. The center diff lock works... I bypassed the shifter and tested it.
