THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Im trying to get the jeep ready. Floors are done, and just bought some jk flares, f+r, yesterday for 50 bucks. Mocked them up last night, they dont look too bad. Gonna try and mount them today before work. Then all I need is the E-brake cable (which I gotta grab from Kieth). Then theoretically I should be able to get a sticker!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

trust me, I still would love to go. But sometimes you just gotta know when to make the shitty decisions. I had my whole trip set up for a couple as a getaway. Me and Lani split up so now it just doesn't have the same appeal to me. Its too soon to find somebody to join me and I doubt they'd be able to get the time off anyways. I'm just going to stay home and save my money instead, my boss will be happier too. I'm just going to do rocktoberfest and hang with all my good buddies instead. Maybe I'll even find a date for it.

dang dude, sorry to hear it. and it IS the trip of a lifetime but that doesnt mean you need to do it now. i plan on doing it one more time before i have kids... idk when that will be, maybe two years from now maybe 5.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Assuming I have any money by then I am planning on being there, even if it means a flight and just hanging with the crew/riding backseat with someone instead of towing my jeep like last time.

Sucks Ross, but at least you'll make Rocktoberfest.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know how that goes... good luck dude, and let me know if you need a hand with anything on the house when you get it. At this point I've been through the school of hard knocks with houses :gee:

Reminds me, I really really need to jack up the other side of the living room, rebuild the foundation (before it gets below 20 degrees at night) and put in another 20 feet or so of sill plate before winter comes. I waited till December for the other side and it wasn't fun, probably compromised my mortar strength somewhat as well, though it is still obviously way stronger than spongy old lime mortar that was in there before.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, Ross, when do you want me to drop by for that tractor stuff? And where is that lathe, if it's still available? I really want to get a look at it and either pass on it or buy it before it disappears.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anytime after like 6-7 probably, most weeknights. I might be able to do during the day but it's more difficult.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the bracket to the block? 3x 3/8-16UNC, factory bolts are 1 1/8" long, I would recommend running a tap down into the block holes if you're gonna run bolts that long.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I personally wouldn't want to run something that originally came behind a 318 putting down ~200hp, behind a 6.0 that's going to close in on 400 hp.

But that's just me.

They're all that size? Well that's easier than I thought. I was thinking jeep would be gay and is have 5 different bolts to get

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

rated for 310 ft/lbs. Id probably destroy it then be pissed off again and quit offroading

apparently it came in 1500 and 2500 chebbies too. but prolly just 4.8's and 5.3's

Didn't you have Brown Dog mounts going in or something?

I'd be all set with that.

Granted it's in front of a doubler and all that, but the last thing I'd want to do after exploding a flywheel is grenade a transmission.

The weight savings sure would be nice though. Stock the NV4500 is right around 200 lbs. And mine has a steel blowproof bellhousing and a cast iron rear output adapter instead of aluminum.

I'd say mine is closing in on 250 lbs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

shit, apparently I brainfarted, I saw 3500 and read 4500. Whoops :dunce:
