Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bought a used chevy wiring harness to modify for my truck. Get it in the mail today, open the box, its a ****ing chrysler harness.

Hope this guy is ready to make it right.

got the new harness, a couple connectors have been chopped off with dikes.

debating on just using this harness to repair mine, about 40 wires need to be added with the proper connectors (no idea why therse 40 wires in that part of the harness) also need to add the drive by cable shit.

Just put the 305 back in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Which connectors?

Can you get me an exact year range for a donor? I know you said 05 should work, but... I'm probably hitting Henry's on Saturday, possibly with friends and coworkers, and can try to pull one (again) or at least the parts you're missing.

I came up with a gameplan. Turns out it was just transmission shit that was cut off. (and starter solenoid but i can fix that)

I started chopping off the stuff I'm not going to need and I'm actually removing the wires from the harness (instead of just leaving them there with the connectors chopped off) and I'm going to reuse the obd connector and fuse panel off my 150tunes harness.

Only differences between the harness I just bought and what I need are I need a new ecm. (big whoop they are cheap and plentiful for these) to drive the iac in the throttle body, and the 02 sensor connectors are different.

Seems to be the best way out. an ecm is cheaper than a gas pedal (which I would have needed) and I don't have a wiring harness that has stiff wires from melted insulation and a ton of soldered connections.and i would have super cool drive by cable along with a nicer, cleaner harness than the one I actually spent money on.

Then I need to tune the new ecm. which would have been free through 150tunes if i used my ecm they already tuned, but I don't want to deal with any long wait bs again.

**** that took a long time to explain.

Sounds like a solid plan to me. Let me know if you need parts.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i whooped the 305 in the garbage per carmelos reccomendation.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That sucks but it's good at the same time.

thats whatI was thinking

and yes I do have something lined up. I was going to leave right after Moab anyway.

Im sad cause I considered my super a close friend, I even did hundreds of dollars of work on his truck for free.

then I found out he was a lying two faced rat. alot of messed up stuff has gone on at my job in the past few months and I was already very unhappy. the only reason for staying was to help out my supervisor because the rest of the employes are brain dead. but now that reason is gone.

Well at least the outcome will be good then.
You better make RocktoberFest.
