I used to know a guy who was a moron. and he was supposedly an expert.
so Id say your in way over your head.
My guess is that he did absolutely nothing, and said he fixed them. The place that adjusted them before is a huge trucking company, so I'm not sure what's up with that.
I'm looking into it now, it does look easy enough.
Anyone done air brakes before? The front brakes in our 2007 international have sucked since they day my dad got it. The place we got it said they just needed to be adjusted, so they adjusted them for him. They'll still sucked but he didn't look into it any further. One guy that worked for him recently and quit supposedly knew everything there is to know about everything and said he fixed them. I looked at them friday and one side is adjusted way out and the other way in. Which makes sense because they always pulled to the left. I'm thinking about picking up new shoes and figuring out how to install and adjust them myself, from what I hear it's stupid easy. Figure I can't do any worse than the first two people to do them.
It's not bad, no more complicated than giant car drum brakes. As far as adjusting I always run them up tight, then back off 1/4-1/2 turn of the adjustment screw on the slack adjuster. More important than how far you back them off, especially on the fronts, is keeping it as close to the same as you can on both sides, otherwise it will pull like you said. Make sure to get a full hardware kit, and antisieze the rollers that go into the bushings as well as the part where the shoe rides on the other side, but don't antisieze the part that rides on the S-cam. If you do it just attracts dirt which will build up and cause the brakes to drag. I generally put the rollers in the bushings first, slap the shoe on top then hang the lower from the longer, single spring that's on the side of the S-cam in first, then use vise grips to put the two smaller springs on the other side, then pry up and pop the rollers into the S-cam. Nah mean? If you end up needing help I wouldn't mind coming by someday, but I'd imagine you can handle it.
That song has been all over the radio, where have you been!?

I really wanted to. However i'm getting married that day so...
pretty much its just gonna cost money. between the radiator and electric fans. and idk if I should try to make my radiator work or start from scratch either.
Any reason you can't just run some OEM stuff?
