THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That song has been all over the radio, where have you been!?

Also focus's are bad luck. Checked out the one here. Runs and drives awesome, popped out most of the big dent and all that was wrong is it smoked. So it looked like it was from the valve cover but it looks like someone already did it so all I did was wash off the oil and it looked like it was good. Took it for a spin and it's pretty nice. Took in the shop to adjust the rear brakes and left it running on the lift and something in the cooling system popped. Coolant everywhere and it was pegging the heat gauge.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This coming weekend I'm going wheeling whether or not I fix anything on my MJ. I don't give a ****.

Good man. Camping Friday/Saturday or just Saturday?

I went to see DB Dave on Saturday, not very funny

True life bro.

Fixed the XJ today, ended up being a CKP, not a CMP like the stupid computer said. It'll be nice to drive my own car to work again for a change, even if it is that toilet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Does anyone have working a.c in their xj? I threw a can of r134a at mine and of course there is a leak or clog. I knew I shouldn't have wasted the money. What's my best bet at gettinng it working without sppending a fortune. A new condenser and drier? The dried is pretty corroded. Any help?

I have a leak somewhere, my ac works for 2-3 months at a time. The PO replaced the compressor on my jeep. Get some UV dye and dump it in, see where it's leaking

I did... no leaks that I could see. So I tried filling it and nothong. Makes me think there's a clog

Is the compressor cycling? Is the high pressure side hot, and the low side cool/damp? Is the condenser clogged, or obviously damaged?

When I was filling It the low side got cool and damp and high side hot. Negative on cycling. Condenser looks okay but its been dry since who knows. I'm thinking it may be clogged

If you didn't properly evacuate/vacuum the system before charging it'll never work 100% right. If the compressor isn't cycling the lines shouldn't change temp like that, as nothing would be happening in the system. I'm thinking you're right and you may have a clogged evaporator, or even a faulty HVAC box that isn't opening the door for the AC, because the system sounds like it's trying to work. Is it cool, just not cold, or is it basically ambient temperature air coming out of the ducts?

I think its trying to work. It got cool but not a huge difference I took the lines off the compresser only the low had a tiny bit of green dye. I'm pretty suee its clogged sommewher
