Toss a junkyard diff in it, they come out easy enough
I think the front diff in the Dirtymax is heading south. Lately the truck has been making a bearing type growl at slower speeds and while coming to a stop. Checked out the front end outers and stuff, everything looked good. Drained the front diff, came out brownish and shitty looking. Drain plug didnt have any chunks but alot of magnetic sludge on it. Put some fresh 75w-90 in it, seems to maybe have shut it up a little but its still making noise. I really dont wanna have to do bearings in it and I really dont wanna have to tear that whole damn IFS apart to get to it. I dont have the time to do it either, might have to send it to the dealer if it keeps getting worse.
Around a half inch or so of clearance  Im just going to leave it for now Im going to mini mans wheels or if my friend junks his ranger im stealing the spacers off it.How close are the tires to the leaf springs?
I havent seen many 08 chevy 3500hd's around these yards and I doubt it would be cheap if I managed to find one.
What ratio?
Are you sure its not the rear ccarrier bearing?
no beuno, found nothing when I searched.
FYI, the stock fluid GM uses up front is a brown-tan like color. Nothing to worry about there. Do some searching and you'll see it is very common.I think the front diff in the Dirtymax is heading south.
