Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dicked around with my tune some more. Hopefully getting it to start even easier and set up the wideband stuff. Maybe I'll have some time to quickly test it out this weekend after wiring and finishing the dash.

After 24 days of processing time, my Saiga .308 shipped today. I don't think NJ is immediately planning on any more stupid restrictions, but once I get back from KOH I'll start getting that thing converted ASAP before the parts become unavailable. Lookin forward to that little project.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you're thinking of revamping the heat, I'd recommend a Navien -style heater. They're crazy efficient (Something like 97%) and can be vented out with PVC. Can be run on oil, propane, natural gas. One unit can do your heat and potable water. Expensive investment, but it makes up for it in efficiency.

Oil?

My situation is that I may have to retain oil heat for a while longer in order to take advantage of the tank removal insurance. It would be pretty sweet if I could upgrade everything in the house and then plan on switching to gas at a later point without having to redo much. Are you saying they have units that can run on either?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How stoopid would you guys think it was to consider a 2wd truck? I have no plans to take it off-road, it's extra weight to lug around, and more shit to do upkeep on. On the other hand, it was nice to have 4wd when I used my aunt's truck to pick my shitbox up at Sam's.

Basically, guys who tow their rigs frequently, how often do you use 4wd?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There's been a couple of times I've needed it getting in or out of certain places. But if it's mainly gonna be a tow rig/parts getter I wouldn't be too worried. Worst case you can always unload the jeep and pull the truck :D

Hahaha, that would be a sight to see!

There's a clean '00 Powerstroke in ME, 2wd, 5spd 110k, for 10 grand. I really want to go look at it this weekend, but I need to finish my Jeep...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

seems kinda expensive for me for 2wd but it does look like its in good shape

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yes. Price on both as well.

ditto. I'm going to say probably not, unless the deal is too sweet to pass up. I would try to be stupid and do it without the jig if I did participate in a mini group buy.

A good friend of mine has a line on a ar-15 chambered in 45 acp that takes grease gun mags. final cost will be $1250ish. standard AR gas style, uses direct impingement not blowback. let me know if you're interested.

Edit: Travis filled me in. I'd love to play, but I really don't see it happening. too much other stuff going on right now.

Hey, back again for a second night.

Speaking of guns. I need to buy more of these targets. Very fun.

I know a place I can get a M&P sport just under $700 before tax, but I don't think I'm going to buy one when they come in. I don't think I can justify the expense when I have so much fun shooting my .22 GSG for next to nothing.

Although I have had an itch for a new gun lately.

PM this guy for more info. I know it's a good ways from you, but if it's a clean truck, it's a hell of a deal....
