I wonder what the hell the aluminum one fits then. Certainly not an XJ... maybe the idiot looked it up as an SJ? Though it doesn't look like an SJ core from what I'm seeing on rockauto.

they gave me the wrong AW4 trans filter and pan gasket, too. I ended up with the one for a 3spd chrysler auto till I looked up a real part number and went back.

I just use rockauto now, unless I know exactly what the part looks like and need it ASAP.

just finished demolishing the master bedroom. Figure I'll bag all the waste up tomorrow morning before I take a shower, that shit is gross.

I'm usually more worried about the tubes on a heater core since they rot out from the coolant, while the fins are only exposed to air coming into the heater box... not blasted with salt water in the winter like a radiator.

You cant Keith. Not something that's easy to replace either that I would want to try to make work.

I would grab another at autozone and return that one.

Well that was an over 2 hr ordeal to get this part. 1st autozone I went to had a brass one, with no tabs to mount it, and half the fins were damaged when he opened the box after I told him to check it. Advanced auto didnt' have any, had to drive a few towns over (40min drive) to get one.

After tearing my dashboard apart and even breaking it, and going through this whole mess, there is no XXXXing way I'm putting a 21 year old heater core back in no matter what. Plus, I need to get this back in today, don't have the luxury of the huge hassle it would be to get it to that guy.

My company (aka me and this other guy I work with) have a wholesale account with Napa, and it is in the same plaza as my work. I opened it, saw it looked good, but I had never seen a heater core before so I didn't know it was the wrong part until I pulled the old one out.

That is just retarded, no XXXXing way that will work. the tubes and heater box wall would somehow be occupying the same space, which is against the laws of physics, and they also dont' even make it close to the firewall.

guys. he's just messing around. Please tell me you noticed the sarcasm.

And I'd rather get parts from rockauto and have them be the right ones than get them a little cheaper and faster but be the wrong ones. Rockauto is also open all hours of the night so I can order whenever instead of having to deal with NAPA's almost-bankers-hours setup.

Really sucks though. I wonder if the wrong part ended up in the box somehow or if they actually think that's the right one.

I'm currently at Logan waiting in the terminal (got here a bit early for my 6:00 flight so I could get some work done). They have the Saints/Titans game on. Wtf? Why not the Patriots? :smsoap:

And I love it when retards don't know how to calculate change. I just bought a super-overpriced bottle of soda and snack pack which came to $9.88 or something. Gave the guy a $10 and got $1 and change back. Sweet I guess, still super overpriced.

damn brake lines behind the gas tank on the 88 MJ are so rusty that I crushed one of them taking the gas tank out. Based on the fact that I crushed a multi thousand psi hydro line with a 20ga rusted out gas tank I think I'm glad that happened now, instead of on the road.

I guess I will put all new brake lines in it while I have the tank out... :mad:

Unfortunately incorrectly boxed radiators and heater cores have been common in about the last 6 months, not only from napa, but from a few other stores that source their parts from the same manufacturer. horrible QC at the factory, but not napa's fault.
You also cant go by the pictures on the prolink site, they dont always use the correct picture, especially on parts where there are multiple options for a single vehicle.

anytime you foos want the right parts, call me and if it's wrong and we'll make it right, right away. I CAN price match just about any place.

SYE's or replacement parts...most of them come from the same sources anyways.

Anyone know how long it usually takes Quadratec to ship things? If it goes out tomorrow, should I expect it by the end of the week? I just pulled the axles/suspension from the green ZJ, and all the RE bushings and JJ's are trashed, I'm hoping to have the races and shit by this weekend to get mine back on the road soon. Also picked up a D300 this weekend, I'm thinking either a 4:1 or a doubler eventually. Any opinions on which way to go?
