the stock rail grounds through one of the mounting bolts and goes right on the plugs. I hate that because you can't really test the engine effectively with the damn thing getting in the way. If I had a 2000/1 it'd be done as soon as I blew up the coil pack or had to test anything that involved pulling one spark plug at a time.
AND it means you can swap to the 0630/7120 heads and older exhaust manifold setup without going through all kinds of stupidity trying to mount the coil rail to it

yupI'll probably end up throwing Carmelo's old motor in. I'd like to throw the motor on a stand and drop the oil pan to replace the gasket and the RMS and check it to ensure that there aren't metal shavings in the oil. Also, the manifolds would have to come off to install mine. That would be a good time to take a peek at the valves.
That is a great idea. It looks like he just extended the wires to the coil and plugged it right in. I'll probably do that when I swap engines.
