THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My uncle made a comment about selling his XJ and buying some sort of Wrangler. Looks like I'll have to sell the Civic and start DD'ing an XJ again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

speaking of torx I have to find my inverse torx set so I can drop the trans this weekend if my buddy is available to lend a hand.

If I can't find the inverse torx set I bought does anyone semi-local have the correct socket for removing the top two trans bolts that I could borrow?

I got a full set of them if you need them. They're even fancy Snap On ones, probably my only Snap On tools I own.

= a fire hydrant?

You need a hydrant wrench.

Ever see a fire department show up to a fire and not have that wrench? I have.....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and there goes the last of my 'recent' batch of pulled pork. Lasted me many meals over the course of a week, I'd say that's $30 well spent.

I think once I buy my own house I'm going to live on pulled pork, shredded beef/chicken, etc. Every weekend make one pot of it and I'll have the base for an awesome dinner set for the entire week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It cost you $30 to make a batch of pulled pork? Did you buy the entire pig to stuff into your crock pot or something?

A 3.5-lb half shoulder/boston butt is like 8 bucks here, plus a dollar and change for a can of chipotles & adobo, plus a few bucks for some green salsa (which is enough for 2-3 batches). That'll yield a more-than-full foil catering tray.

How did I know you were going to ask that? :laugh3:

That price included a bunch of other stuff, not just the pork. Kaiser rolls from the bakery, 1/2 lb of cheese from the deli, a few jars of spices that I wanted, bottle of Dr. pepper (I used dr pepper in it), etc. The pork butt was something like $10-$14 IIRC, could have got it cheaper but I went to stop and shop which tends to be pricey (though it's nearby and convenient).

I didn't use chipotles and adobo but I think I might be making shredded beef this weekend and it will definitely get a can of that to toss in this time around.

I like it when doctors do their thing and then say "here's what I want you to do" *tosses me a beer* "take this and a Motrin 800 and relax for the night, Doctor's orders".

My back hasn't felt this good in weeks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I cleaned the TB with some spray and it seems to be running better. I also did the key cycle code check thingy, appearently I have a bad O2 sensor. I think tomorrow I'll beef up another stock tierod and make a tire carrier for the bumper.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

looks like I will be picking up my tires Wednesday after work in RI, driving back to work, and mounting them. So much for getting the jeep loaded a day before I leave.

OH, can I play?
I have two fancy Snap On tools. More than I need.
A FHLF80 ratchet and FXWK6 extension. Got them for about 1/3 of their retail value and I still hardly use them 'cause I'm afraid of dinging them up. I use the CMan versions 10x more, but admittedly the Snappy is way nicer. 80 tooth is sweet!
