For the record both pictures with mia were only achieved by yelling something ridiculous to get her to turn around

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I also do not like the first day of the week. Can't wait for memorial day...

Woke up this morning at 5, wide awake, feeling great. Woke up again at 6:30 or 7, wide awake feeling great. Drove to work, more of the same. Now sitting at my desk... god damn I want to go back to bed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How many people would be interested in a Mt Washington ride this summer?
Please define mode of transportation

Travis, it looks like Mt. Monadnock was a good time. Did you go to the NES shoot too?

I put over 400 miles on my motorcycle between Friday and Sunday. Went lots of places, had a lot of fun, and didn't take a single picture.

Season total is already about 1k.

hiking was great. no NES shoot, after monadnock we went up to new hampton to go out to eat and for an excuse to take a ride. exit 23 off 93, it's so damn nice up there

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

next time you go shoot me a PM.
I even rode through Spencer at 10am yesterday :(

What's the status of your bike right now? Street fighter?

i can not find a jeep i like for the life of me..... wtf....
I came to the same conclusion. That's why I'm continuing to build my rusty one and the sawzall is close by in case something happens.

I have a Jeep. And it drives. :dunce:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Buy me one. I work at a grocery store for belly button lint and monopoly money, I can barely afford my cars now.

I was thinking the same thing.

Nice. I only put a few on mine around town. Gotta change the oil before I do any more than that (maybe tonight). I did change it right at the end of last season so I'm not too concerned but still something that I gotta get done.

I think I'm going to be heading up there with a couple friends later in the summer. One of them has a place right near the mountain and we've both wanted to ride that area. It's such a long ride to get up there... He was thinking of trailering it but I'm not sure what I'd do.

It's still good to get out there. I should change my oil too, but that's not going to stop me from riding.

The only times I have ever wheelied my motorcycle have been a power wheelie, not because I was trying to show off. I was warned ahead of time that this particular road, somewhere in Acton, has a sharp drop off on it and if you're going fast enough the whole bike comes off the ground. My rear tire stayed down, barely, but the front came up :D

Then on another road in Grafton I got the whole bike off the ground. Woops.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Finally got my mountain bike rolling again yesterday, for the first time since July. Felt pretty good to be out riding again, even just on pavement.

It's 30% chance of rain starting about the time I get home from work...on the off chance that I get lucky, I threw the bike in the back of my truck and brought a change of clothes so I can stop on the way home and spend some time in the woods. I found a lead on an old fire access road that supposedly has a bunch of fun short loops off of it, only about 7 minutes from my house, and on the way home.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Weekend recap:

I have a 1350 front yoke, not 1330.
Remove all burrs before installing new seals
Retaining tabs on centering yokes of CVs break off easily
Bandsaws don't like cutting 4340

But I did get all the bumpstops finished, rear hubs assembled and put on, rear driveshaft made (minus joints), and front axle 90% together. Shafts are in, tube seals, just need to get another hub seal since I destroyed one of them.

Oh, and I installed the drivers side all the way to the driveslug, however it feels like something is binding when I try to turn it. It's way too stiff. I have to take it apart again and see what's up.
