Day one of certification dives. Scuba diving is awesome, and I'm incredibly exhausted after the 3 dives today. That gear gets heavy when you're not in the water.

2 more dives tomorrow, and we get to go see the sunken boat which will be sweet.

Why is it that whenever I have good weather, I am either busy, or like tonight, dont have what I need
Got the old perches 90% burned off the axles and I ran out of acetylene, so I did a bit more than I intended with the grinder.
start to weld the cover together, and I run out of gas for the welder.
The rear truss is fitted, the axles are cleaned up, and the inner c's are cut loose on the 44, and I cant get gas until monday.
Oh well, I guess I will just have to go golfing instead tomorrow morning.

I picked them up at a yard sale for $1, they come in handy when your working with small parts when welding. In this case, I couldn't find any staples, so I used them to hold together my templates I made to fit the truss.

I then got onto the backroads near my house and I come around the corner and some dude is walking in the street and flags me down. At first I drove past him a little, but pulled over in case he was in trouble/ had crashed. Turns out his GF got mad at him, pulled over and told him to get out. He did and she drove away. I let him use my cell to make some calls, but I just was not comfortable driving him, even though he was offering me $300 for the ride. I had one of those "this is how you end up dead" moments. Not that the kid was really scary or anything, I just didn't feel like risking it. He flagged down another car and when he went to talk with them, I decided to leave.

I had a night like that at the bar this other night. Some super drunk guy with his nose smashed off wanted a ride. He offered me a drink, weed (I don't smoke), and wheeling access on his sugar maple farm. Even the bouncer at the bar offered me a shot for the road if I gave the guy a ride. I chose not to for the same reasons.
