You run a 4.0, if they're cheap buy it. You won't know the difference.

sorry I just had to stick that in there :spin1:

Random question, anyone here ever work with SAP?

I never have, but they're making me a superuser soon with a very liberal amount of tweaking power. Nothing like being given the tools to completely destroy your company's financial records in seconds.

Yes, there's a real reason behind it, but let this be a warning to everyone, especially in technical fields: it's not always good to show your boss how much you know about things beyond your job description. Sometimes you wind up getting handing jobs that have nothing to do with you. I spent all day (and an hour and half extra) in a meeting deciding how we're moving forward with a new SAP arrangement and basically getting a crash course in AR, AP, GL, P&L, balance sheets, and all kinds of fun accounting/financial reporting things.

I really don't mind, as I get paid either way and it's good stuff to know, but it just struck me as rather odd that I got assigned to this project. That's what I get for basically being the go-to guy for our current SQL software.

Oh, and because you guys love cooking so much, the next project is gonna be slow-cooked beef brisket. Details to follow.
the impression I get is that it's a solutioneering enterprise framework that does everything and nothing, and is amazingly complex. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, the curses of being a jack of all trades... I get questions about stuff I have no idea about at work now, plus car questions, house questions, and straight out random stuff... The work I'm doing now (aside from that soulsucking software thing I nearly quit over, which is still almost limping along) is pretty awesome, it's mostly random electrical debug work that has me actually sitting in the lab reading datasheets and playing with a logic analyzer and oscilloscope instead of typing code I hate.
You're going to want one made out of farts
I am staying a few jeeps away from Rob on trail runs, it'll smell beautiful when he dumps clutch

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just sent that guy $ for the 5.13T gears. Thanks for the tip Ross.

Did you already get 70 gears too? Supposely theres a few other sources that have been found that make spools for them for less the ECGS and it was suggested Carl at Jantz can easily mod a 60 one to fit a 70. But you got a detroit now so you dont care anymore :D

true. But you can't buy a clutch made out of farts, either.

needs moar doublers, then dumping clutch = wait a fraction of a second for the gears to take up the slack, then barely notice it start to move

Nope, haven't bought 70 gears. No real need unless I find a smoking deal. As it is, these 60 gears are going to sit on a shelf for at least a year before anything happens with them.

Bill's old HP60 gears love sitting around. Been sitting since March of 2008.
