THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If we continue at this same rate for the rest of our lives we could break 1,000,000 posts.
It would only take 15-20 yrs, provided the thread didn't get deleted.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Based on the accidental thread locking by our current chapter administration I expect it to be accidentally deleted within 3 months ..!..:D..!..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Come up to my place Friday night.

Rob's coming over to drill out some holes in his stiffeners, and Mark might be coming up to hang out.

We can order mad pizza.
Possibly, I don't like to commit to things. I also have 2 other things I can do Friday night, that don't involve me moving my Jeep and losing my space.

(and technically, I would be coming down, since I currently live north of you)
both of which are retarded phrases which I refuse to use

I can't stand "zomg" IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can't stand most online slang, to be honest. Straight up acronyms (TBH, LOL, etc etc) are ok but the made up stuff (omgbbq, lolz) and idiotic crap... barf.

DAMN KIDS! GET OFF MY LAWN!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmmm........ I'll let you about that keith.

In other news. My photo teacher pulled me aside today and told me she wanted me to submit some of my photos to these two student art shows coming up. The submission deadline was 2 days ago, but she said it was fine and said the guy was expecting photos from me and 2 other people.

Also, for you photo people, (anthony, adam...anyone else) I need ideas for my final photo project. We have to pick a style/subject/whatever to shoot, and we need 10 final shots to hand in. Ideas I've thought about are night shots, panoramas (will be expensive though since we have to print them, and its $6 per square foot), maybe HDR (but I know my teacher isn't a huge fan of that. I'm going to see if our photo department has any macro lenses. Anything else you guys can think of?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken has more posts on naxja than I have molecules in my body

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mehhhh 1000 bucks isnt a super awesome deal.. and its in NC.

Who's got two thumbs and will be driving home from the middle of NC on saturday morning?

This guy. :)

Or you could just not add more work. Plate it, cage it, and race it like Chris.

I plated it on the outside with 1/8"...the bottom eventually cracked in a few places. I then ran a strip of 1/8" on the bottom with a bunch of plug weld holes and welded it everywhere I could, and added a 3/16" triangle-shaped plate over the outside plating.

So far the inside and the OEM sleeves (hell, still got the OEM spacer) haven't been an issue.

I hope to get around to that sector shaft support bearing thing sooner rather than later. I think that'll be a bigger help than any plating.

One person in the administration, thank you very much. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll pick you up on my way down to both of you.

Was that a short joke? :D

I'll wave at you as I drive north. One time, I was sitting in some traffic on Rt128 N. I was minding my own business slowly working the clutch in and out and deciding between 1st or 2nd in the high speed lane. I wasnt really paying any attention to the people around me, I was finding some music on my Ipod. After I found something, I looked up and gazed over to the southbound side of equally slow moving traffic. As I looked, I saw a Dodge coming up. I just happened to stretch my neck to see if it was a Cummins or not (very common for me, Im always looking for the different door badges). I noticed it was a CTD. I happened to have my window rolled down, so did the driver of the CTD. Now he was traveling in the lane outside the high speed lane.

As we paralleled each other, I yelled out as loud as I could, "COLIN!!! F*CK YOU!!!"

Mounting it to the trackbar bracket brace?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my jeep has MAD FLEX YO (all natural RTI ramp at auburn mall)

it flexes sorta like a 2x4, slightly more than an I-beam

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mounting it to the trackbar bracket brace?

With some planning there'd probably be a way to do this cleanly...but I don't think I can fit it on mine. I was thinking more something that would go across and bolt into the factory sway bar holes.

Edit: actually, nope, that's a dumb idea. Look where the pitman arm is compared to the trackbar brace.

That's good news, hope you've got something in mind already.

I was going to say maybe macro... Don't do HDR :puke:

You could do something like Boston at night or a calm Boston. I'm thinking something like a shot from the double yellow lines on Mass Ave @ 3:30 AM. Could make this B&W too, but could also be awesome in color.

Long exposures/night/low light shots from a tripod are always sweet

this is the 21st century. Digital. ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Random question, anyone here ever work with SAP?

I never have, but they're making me a superuser soon with a very liberal amount of tweaking power. Nothing like being given the tools to completely destroy your company's financial records in seconds.

Yes, there's a real reason behind it, but let this be a warning to everyone, especially in technical fields: it's not always good to show your boss how much you know about things beyond your job description. Sometimes you wind up getting handing jobs that have nothing to do with you. I spent all day (and an hour and half extra) in a meeting deciding how we're moving forward with a new SAP arrangement and basically getting a crash course in AR, AP, GL, P&L, balance sheets, and all kinds of fun accounting/financial reporting things.

I really don't mind, as I get paid either way and it's good stuff to know, but it just struck me as rather odd that I got assigned to this project. That's what I get for basically being the go-to guy for our current SQL software.

Oh, and because you guys love cooking so much, the next project is gonna be slow-cooked beef brisket. Details to follow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone got a preference on clutch kits and flywheels? gonna be buying em next week
