THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got stuck in that road behind my yard and a lot of shoveling and forward/reverse was involved in getting out.

I need to get the mj ready to plow by next winter (absolutely no way I can get it done this winter, I can't dind the friggin plow, it is somewhere under 4 feet of snow) and the winch needs to be on yesterday. Would have been so much easier with a winch on the front... and rear.

I get stuck in my parking spot EVERYTIME it snows. I have yet to not float valves to back up 3 feet. I keep a shovel and blocks of wood in the back, it's just as good as four wheel drive.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so who wants some 1300 series flanges for a atlas?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'm gonna get the HF 3/4" drive set. It's on sale for $40 and for how rarely I'll need it I think it'll be just fine.

This was on a slight hill,in reverse, with a bit of side slope. Every time I tried I ended up in the woods and made the tracks more solid, pushing me that way again. No way to turn around, snow was even deeper in front of me, sharp turn keeping me from getting any momentum going forward. After a lot of shoveling I was able to start paving my own trail by just ramming it in reverse, on the rev limiter, repeatedly, making it a few feet more each time. Finally got out after like 15 tries. My neighbors now think I am a maniac, they may be right.

If I hadn't been planning on going forward I never would have gone down the hill

I don't think you'll ever need to use it, so ya, should last a lifetime.

Jealous?
I wont actually have the winch on the rear until I make up some cables though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nick bought one to use for tightening his control arm bolts. hasn't broken yet.
Ned has owned a set for almost 2 years too. I haven't heard of any horror stories of them failing.

Yeah you're probably right. :dunce:

I just got that email today too and I'm thinking of stopping in on my way to or from Rob's on Saturday to pick it up. I think the coupon's good thru Sunday, so that'd work out well. I figure for $40, what the hell. Maybe it won't get used, but then again maybe I'll need one of the big sockets and I'll have these instead of going to Sears to pony up the same money for a giant craftsman socket I'll never use again.

hahaha yeah, was joking about the rear winch. Would have come in handy tonight, oh well.

I have the crimpers to make those cables now

Turns out the waterproof box I got for the contactor is not quite big enough so I'm doing the install tomorrow in the bestbuy parking garage. Hopefully we can get jay's winch working too.

Link to the coupon please? I need a few big sockets for my truck, and 40 for everything is way better than 25 for one socket

I have a crimper too, and all the andersen connectors I need to make all my hookups, plus a jumper cable end set, I just need to buy the wire itself.
I want to find some paired 1/0 welding cable. companies make it, but nobody seems to sell it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you could get 1/0 stereo power wire and tape em together?
