THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Question of the day:

Should this be the year that Mark finally joins a local offroad club again?

As only as the letter 'C' does not appear in the abbreviation three times, yes.
I'll give you the front half of an XJ since they're the same thing, and a rusty old 440 block with some lame heads.

You don't need a running 440 to build motor mounts and fit the block between the rails.

:D
I do not work with rust.

I need to make sure the engine mounts will stand up to "heavy" abuse levels.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That is not how product testing works.
Does Dodge, GM, or Ford give engines and chassis to the general public to test them before final release? I think not.

My way or the highway pal.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No I mean't more than one project that's only results are for me to have fun.

Like maintaining a house or a car isn't a "fun" project to me, it's something that has to get done.

I mean like the sound system in your VW, my MJ, tuning my CTD or something like that.
I'll agree that oil changes, brake jobs, installing thermostats or towel racks are chores and not fun.

It is what it is at this point, and I'll not be leaving the VW half-completed. I've got a little left to do and I'm looking forward to getting back to work on the jeep. I think my little vacation from rust served its purpose.

I'm not the general public, I'm the parts supplier AND customer.

In my industry, customers are constantly part of the testing phase.

Besides, you don't want to drive a Mopar powered vehicle anyway.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't worry guys, i'll do the testing. This'll prevent any bickering between "The Bank" (Colin) and "The Fabricator" (Bill). You're welcome.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Eff that crap.

I'm keeping my fuel system cheap. Plan is to use RCI 2161A and the YJ stock fuel pump assembly. Plenty of write ups of people using it successfully.

I'll take the last one though.

:D

PM Jeff LOSAH!!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looking around it's about $150.

Lame.

Maybe I can find something on NEOW when the time comes. I want to keep the stock pump for reliability/simplicity.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Goddamn I didn't realize D60 gears were so expensive.

Complete Offroad lists thick 5.38s for $300??

:moon: mine were cheap!

I'm gonna say it's gonna be Ross driving his red jeep down. Thing is going to implode.

Possibly. More possibly on the drive home. Although if I end up driving red jeep, im throw a bunch of last minute stuff at it to make it happy-ish.

Ill sell you a plastic tank and pump, just get a regulator to get correct pressure maybe
