THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Huh?

They're not stickies...?
Oh. I missed that.

Now that that's established, won't they still wear out faster than a his KM2's?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How much better do you expect a creepy to do than a trep on the street? Still a waste of expensive tire, IMO. I know you wheel a lot, but DD'ing that tire wouldn't be worth it.

don't forget. i have run creepies on the street

they are a great street tire aside from being so soft and wearing a little quick.

they handle just fine, don't flat spot, balance easily. i was amazed by them being a bias ply tire

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i got almost 15k miles out of a set (iirc) with a spool in back and a hellacous driving style. and they still had about 40% left when i sold them to t-pain

the tread is nearly an inch thick

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

BTW, has any one had that crunchy beef burrito thing from Taco Bell yet? With the spicy chips rolled into it? Considering that for lunch today...

Yes, I got one with the $5 box. My a-hole blew up soon after.

37 treps come in a 17" wheel...

Holla

how do bias treps do on the street?

THATS WHAT I THOUGHT.

Who cares? Im gunna drive stickies on te street. (*But not very far)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't consider taco bell for lunch because I like my food to stay in me for a bit longer than that :passgas:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Touche.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The trep radials are actually pretty badass. Lotsa desert guys run them.

The Taco Bell Crunchy Beef Burrito was f'ing delicious. Sadly they dropped my usual menu item (the cheesy double beef burrito) but the guy threw one together for me anyway.

$2.81 total, what a deal.

Apparently I have a much stronger stomach than most of y'all.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sam, I know where I can get you 42s on rims for $5 apiece...

they just suck at everything and weigh ~300 each

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

whatever set i dont get i'll spill the deal over to whoever convinces me they want creeps.

but im getting them for a hella good price

im leanin towards the 38's.

maybe ill build a beast jk44 or something to handle them (sleeve and truss that bitch) i think thatll run 15's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Are both sets Creepies? For some reason I was thinking the 38s were swampers, but now I think I made that up in my head...

Take that idea of 15's and throw it out the window. 15's are outdated nowadays. Practically no vehicles come with them anymore cause they dont clear brakes, including the JK. I like Kieth's idea of a 37" Rocker.

17 is the new 15.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Within a month or so I'm gonna have 1 jeep on 15s, 1 on 15s (summer) and 16s (winter), 1 on 16s, and 1 on 20s :greensmok

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Those damn cement highway expansion joints can suck it though, I am hoping that the M54A2 will bounce a bit less with an XJ in the back. It was hell with no load, the rear axles were bouncing a couple inches off the ground.
Find yourself a good air ride seat.
And do an air ride cab.

I decided that I am just going to run the 35's that I already have, and just be very nice to my D30 until I build the 9" and 44. I just cant justify spending $750 on new tires that I only plan on running a short time anyways. That money will go a long ways towards getting my axles built.

37X12.50R17LT = radial.

Hm. I've never seen the radials in anything other than a 35 in person, though I know the 37s do exist. Looked quick, and at $413 a tire on Q-tec's site, that's not a cheap 37...for that money I'd prefer a set of bias 39.5" IROKs for $341/ea, and I'm not even a big fan of Iroks

I've got a new seat that should make things better, it actually has padding in it instead of having only old flat springs and padding that fell out decades ago. Should improve things a bit. The problem is, it's fairly difficult to damp the amount of shock I was experiencing - the axles were taking turns literally leaving the ground by a good 4" and then slamming back down. I had bruises on my hips from the seatbelt.
