Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Almost feels like fuel filter, but not consistant enough....
First time it did it, I started the jeep and shut it down within 10 seconds,(felt fine during this ten second period)ran back inside work to grab something, and when it started(normal)waited about 1/2 a minute, and when i started driving away, it felt like it wanted to die, rpms dipping. Gave it more gas accordingly, and made it to the street. While driving, it felt like the rpms were kinda dipping, like it was struggling to hold consistant rpm's.after a min or two, it was fine.
Then I was at a stoplight and while stopped, in drive, the jeep tried to "surge" forward, so much I checked to see if I was bumped ever-so-slightly by the guy behind me(not the case). It didnt actually move, the best i can describe it is the leafs felt like it unloaded from axle wrap, and straightened out(not the case,I presume, but thats the feeling it gave).

Today it did the dipping rpm thing after about fifteen minutes of driving(only a couple seconds of it,then was smooth again)

Its intermittent, so this may be a difficult one to diagnose until something else happens
-or- its acts up more consistantly.
DAMMIT:twak:

that's kind of what happened with Mia's altima, it was the intake manifold gasket. Spray some carb cleaner around the intake/head mating surface when it's idling rough and if it smooths out that's it.

Who's on trail 10? Still trying to figure that one out...

yeah, that's right! who do we got? hmm. Me, Bill, Keith, Carmelo, Billy from here, anyone I forgot? And from DWE non-naxja there's Scott, Ryan, and Eric. I think Colin and Rob would have rounded out the 10 person count but obviously they don't have rigs ready :bawl:

I guarantee my mom's grand marquis has like 2.76s in it or something close to it.

Cruised down to providence with Carmelo at 100 mph without even straining the thing.

I can attest to this as well

maybe I'll come by tomorrow, but it sounds like you've got the majority of it squared away and if I go there I'll just watch you splash oil all over yourself... We'll see how I do getting my junk packed up. If I can, I'll come by when you get out of class.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i didn't get on trail 10, i don't even know what number i'm on.

But i'm sure you'll hear my rev limiter from wherever i'm wheelin, even if its swanzey

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

off to storage to get one of my spare driveshafts and then the new axle is going in!

I could put a new ujoint in the same old driveshaft but I am far too lazy for that shit, I have a few ujoints in my oh-shit kit so if I end up needing a spare I'll toss it in then.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

thanks travis. I had an awesome time. Best vacation in memory.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Too bad there really isn't any club I have any strong desire to be apart of.
