THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've got a whole bunch of stuff left to do...

anyone got a pair of stock UCAs on the scrap heap and want to bring them? I'm worried I may break mine :(

Oh, and I discovered more carnage from last weekend... my center console latch broke. That's it, the sucker is TOTALED now!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

awesome... sorry I didn't have time to grab that and bring it to him for you :/

I may have to raid the home depot bolt aisle for spares because I'm fairly certain many of the ones I will be removing tonight will break or round off and get cut :roflmao: but now I have an industrial-size jar of antiseize so it's all good.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That thread was good, first time a threads been locked over in NAC in a while.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it takes a lot to get me to actually shit on someone's for sale thread these days... that guy just pissed me off a lot.

Scully, more details on the MJ issue? I am not entirely sure what it could be.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if I felt I was justified in asking for my money back, definitely. I missed my chance to inspect the goods though because I trusted his "good condition" posting. My post was simply intended as a warning to anyone buying from him that they better inspect the stuff carefully before paying. Wouldn't have even mentioned it if I had been the only one he stole from / misled / pissed off, either, I went into that thread with no intention of shitting on it and then was like "wait I'm not the only guy this dude has jerked around on stuff"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

...:D

It's employee appreciation day at my work. I'm not an employee of the company so I don't get to participate but that just means a good number of folks will be leaving early and stuff, hopefully I can be out of here super early today

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

were serving sushi at work today, not that i like it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thanks for raining on my parade. My work serves sushi once in a while but it looks like pre-packaged stuff. I haven't had sushi in ages, I have to change that ASAP.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

today is meetings day, i get to spend couple hours in meetings, yay!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone near Webster, MA? There's a set of YJ doors I need to get for my stepdad. If anyone is close by and could pick them up, I'd make it worth your while if you could transport to Fall Crawl (beer and/or $$) or bring any closer towards Canton.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm like 20min out (right down 395) but slammed for time till about Monday.

Do you know John Songy at all? He lives in Webster and will be at Fall Crawl

Almost feels like fuel filter, but not consistant enough....
First time it did it, I started the jeep and shut it down within 10 seconds,(felt fine during this ten second period)ran back inside work to grab something, and when it started(normal)waited about 1/2 a minute, and when i started driving away, it felt like it wanted to die, rpms dipping. Gave it more gas accordingly, and made it to the street. While driving, it felt like the rpms were kinda dipping, like it was struggling to hold consistant rpm's.after a min or two, it was fine.
Then I was at a stoplight and while stopped, in drive, the jeep tried to "surge" forward, so much I checked to see if I was bumped ever-so-slightly by the guy behind me(not the case). It didnt actually move, the best i can describe it is the leafs felt like it unloaded from axle wrap, and straightened out(not the case,I presume, but thats the feeling it gave).

Today it did the dipping rpm thing after about fifteen minutes of driving(only a couple seconds of it,then was smooth again)

Its intermittent, so this may be a difficult one to diagnose until something else happens
-or- its acts up more consistantly.

I know him by name but don't think I know him otherwise.

I might end up just driving out there tomorrow morning to pick them up if I can't find anyone.

Hmmm, I actually had a similar sounding problem years back.

Randomly the XJ seemed to lose all power and felt like it was going to die to the point where I could barely accelerate from a stop. Random question: have you washed it recently or driven through any large puddles? I don't remember what the scenario was with mine but for some reason I think it behaved worse when cold but was a bit better when warmed up. I wondered if there might have been water or a bad connection in the coil. I started it up and let it idle for 30 min to an hour in the driveway and it never gave me trouble again after that. I just never had any 'power surge' issues.:dunno:

Now I just lose all power and cant rev past 3500 RPMs, it just sputters and acts all sorts of pissed off. I'm thinking/hoping it's the fuel pump since my pump has been quite loud lately; any time after an hour or so on the highway it's yelling at me quite a bit, guess it's finally about to die after a few years of being on its death bed :laugh3: I'm actually very surprised it lasted this long

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No puddles, wasnt even raining, but I have never touched the dizzy, which could be the culprit. Ill go spray some water on the bitch and see what happens.

As for yours, have you changed the fuel filter?

and hows that mj doin that your friend bought? I remember you saying the d35 gave up the ghost. Not too surprised, thought thats what it was, since it had spider gears welded in it.

I have a fuel pump/filter (actually a whole tank/pump/filter) that I am picked up from Bump's latest part-out and the filter on that looks pretty new. My tank is getting a bit rusty so I am going to swap that in the cleaner tank/etc this wkend I think, hopefully that fixes the problem.

And the MJ is going OK I suppose... the guy bought an 8.8 off bump and bump thought it was a 4.10 axle. He cleaned all the perches and stuff off and when we cracked it open to check the spline count we quickly realized it didn't have 4.10s  So we are figuring that one out now. He also picked up a good D30 with 4.10s since the front axle was trashed as well, T-case seems OK. No clue what the current status is; the guy took this week off to get some stuff done, and the MJ was near the top of the to-do list last I heard. For all I know he already has the front axle swapped in and is shopping for a 4.10 8.8... maybe he already did that and it's rolling :dunno:
